My main thought is that in general, the level of equality between men and women has been growing for a long time. Therefore, the newer religions will have less sexism as religion is, to a certain extent, an outgrowth of the culture it comes from. So if they made a religion today, I'd expect for it to be even less sexist than our current choices. These are great articles.
