Gloomy Saturday..
I been thinking lately about what things should I be writing in my blog, and if should be a daily journal. I have not decided yet, but I love to write about anything. I forgot to write yesterday because I didn’t have too much to say. I went yesterday to my best friend’s Iron Ring ceremony. He was so happy to get the ring. Finally! Now I can call him little engineer.. lol hehe.. he was so cute..
Anyways.. today.. what did I do.. aah.. I went to buy shoes.. yaay.. Sears had a major sale.. they had shoes for 2 and 4 bucks.. I was
.. hehehe.. I love sales!! And now I am just on the computer working on a project. Nothing exciting.. just work work work.. all week long.. “the life of a programmer!” … …. …. boring.. lol hehehe..
I am still thinking why people come and read my blog.. like daily.. and why they attack me when I reply to them and start blaming me first of all for not dedicating my site to Palestine or Islam or the whole Arabic thing.. I don’t get it? Like this site is about me. A 25 year old girl in Canada. Why should I always have to take a patriotic or poltical stand on everything. I am not interested at all in that. So why is it the first subject that people attack me with? Like what do people really want me to say? If they don’t like the site.. they should not visit it ever again. And that’s it. I am not trying to get attention in any way. I am not trying to send a message or trying to convey anything. I am just trying to keep a journal of what I do in life. What do I think of my life. I don’t write everything that happens in my days, but I write things I want to rememebr in a year’s time. That’s it… hmm.. why is that hard to grasp for some people? And why some people think my website is offensive?

Mona! Cheer up, sweetie! Don’t let other people’s negativity get you down. The whole idea of a blog is to express what YOU are comfortable about sharing. Some people, like yourself, find it easy to share the personal things with others–why that should be offensive, I will never know. Remember, this virtual world is in many ways similar to the real world in that all kinds of weirdos come your way–but unlike the real world, you really can ignore them, because they don’t know you, and with much luck they never will know you! How fortunate you are, huh? Everyone realizes you are not the one with the problem–it is these small-minded and small-hearted individuals who need to get a life. Oh, and I love those sales where things are at craaazzzzy prices!! Take care and keep on bloggin!
About the politics thing, here’s my two fils
: As you know politics in Palestinian society dominated daily life for at least the past two generations. Many of us cannot hold a conversation about hardly anything for more than a few minutes without getting into a hardcore political debate. This often turns into a meta analysis and commentary on the world and history usually peppered with condemnations of Arab leaders. I think this is why, for some people, if a fellow Palestinian does not follow similar pattern then somehow this does not seem right to them, possibly that he/she does not care about their homeland and people.

Mohammad.
