Fruit History
I am a lover for reading random facts. I love reading about anything that comes up in my mind. Any subject. Anything, any object, any character, any word. So what do I look for right now. I am drinking apricot juice and thinking.. why this thing taste so damn good! Not only that.. I looked it up in Wikipedia.. (Cause I am a wikipedia junkie..) .. and I find historical reference to a “Fruit”! .. How amazing is that. I am sitting here drinking the juice of history!
The apricot is thought to have originated in northeastern China near the Russian border. In Armenia it was known from ancient times [1]. The Roman Field General Lucullus (106-57 B.C.) even exported some trees,- cherry, white heart cherry and apricot from Armenia to Europe. While English settlers brought the apricot to the English colonies in the New World, most of modern American production of apricots comes from the seedlings carried to the west coast by Spanish missionaries. Turkey is one of the leading dried-apricot producers[2]. Most U.S. production is in California with some in Oregon and Utah. In Armenia apricot is grown in Ararat Valley.
Now that is cool stuff there eh.. apricots and history.. how amazing is that.. and for all these lovely people out there who care about their skin’s beauty here is more fun stuff to know about apricots:
Fresh or dried, apricots are an excellent health and beauty food. Three small fresh apricots contain more than 50% of the recommended daily intake (RDA) of beta-carotene, a potent antioxidant. Beta-carotene prevents the build-up of plaque deposits in the arteries, protects the eyes from sun damage and deactivates free radicals that, if left unchecked, accelerate the ageing process and increase the risk of cancer. In addition, the body converts beta-carotene into vitamin A, which is vital for good vision and for keeping the eyes lubricated. Those at risk of dry eyes, such as contact-lens wearers, should include plenty of apricots in their diet. Apricots contain significant levels of iron, essential for hemoglobin, the oxygen-carrying pigment in red blood cells. Iron deficiency leads to anaemia, pale skin, and thinning, undernourished hair.
In conclusion. I love apricots. They taste so damn good and good for you.. Isn’t that amazing.. :fruit: I didn’t know something so pale, discolored and small can be so gooooood..
Bow to the apricot’s great power… muwahahahaa.. :lmao:

Well here I am again. Suffering from insomnia.. this time it is getting worse. I take my medication to sleep and I wake up 2 hours later. No reason. No noise to wake me up or dreams. Just wake up like it was a full 8 hour sleep. I am diagnosed with transient insomnia. Insomnia lasting from one night to a few weeks is referred to as transient. Most people occasionally suffer from transient insomnia due to such causes as jet lag or short-term anxiety. So I take my medication for one or two nights.. then somehow I become immune to it and it doesn’t work anymore. It’s like that with any medicine I take. I think my white blood cells just work extra hard for any foreign object. Even Ibuprofen type of medication for headache and migraines stop working.
Well today I finally got out of the house and went to work. I am still half asleep.. Actually if I lay my head down now on a comfy couch and a nice fluffy pillow I would seriously fall asleep. Anyways.. so I left the house at 7:30 am. It was semi dark. The days are short and the sunrise is very late. Anywho. So I am waiting at the bus stop and those two idiots come and sit right next to me. I swear of all the places in the world that are empty in front of the bus stop, they glue them selves next to me. And they are talking jibbirish. It’s like they are construction workers or something cause they were dressed in that type of clothing. Anyways.. they both took out their cigarettes and started smoking. It is so cold and I was sitting there freezing. And somehow the cold air makes you breath better. No smog, no nothing. Just that cold air. And the SMOKE! I was about to throw up. I never in my life felt sick of smoke. I am so used to everyone around me smoking, but this time it hurt. Not only that.. 3 minutes later another lady came and sat on the other side of me with her friend and I know she smokes. I see her daily at the bus stop… aaah.. I just got up and walked far away. I seriously felt dizzy and about to fall flat on my face.
Ok.. I promised my self I won’t over react.. I won’t get mad.. It was a promise.. and what did I do today? I blew up on the support tech of my hosting service. I was so pissed. I was beyond pissed. My site was down for 50% of the time over the weekend. I didn’t know why. So I bitched and complained and demanded my money back! So I temporarily moved it to another box and I should be signed up for new hosting service tomorrow. I hope. Since I did pay for it on PayPal. I paid for only one month. This way it is easy for me to remember and I don’t have to pay for a year and get screwed over again and start bitching at hosting companies.. aaaaaah.. I hate hosting!
