I used to always think that in order to have a great future is to remember the past and try to build up to a better future in the present day. So that was my old philosophical view of life. I learned it from taking history classes and trying to figure out why we were forced to learn it. Learn about the past to not repeat the mistakes in the future. However, that doesn’t work. No one ever learns from the past and mistakes are always repeated. So what’s the point? Why try to always look back at the past and try to change the outcomes by not repeating the same mistakes. I don’t think that works. The mistakes are inevitably repeated based on our persona. We sometimes unconsciously behave a certain way that leads us to the same outcome.
So why we keep reminiscing the past and dreaming of a great future? It seems so superficial. It’s like we try to live a double life. A past life and a future life. However, the present is what we live in. The present is what we have to face every minute. So why all these past recollections and future dreams? What are we trying to really do? The past is just memories that may give us pain or bring us joy. The future is only a momentous hopeful thought. So we should just live the present. Leave the past to be an untold story, and leave the future for fate to decide.

hmm.. no when I said I never seen palestine and I wonder about it is just a hopeful thought.. let fate lead the way.. it’s not a told story or my past. I never been there but there is hope.. I can actually go now if I wanted to but I would never step foot in Palestine while it is under occupation!

History is a vicious cycle; problems never change; only the solutions do. Thus, we have to consult the past to anticipate the future - because present doesn’t exist.

The past, the present, the future…order !!!
all that is dependent life and thus made we live all in present and the past results from this but one can also projected in the future.
We have all need for our history(gud or bad)to build us me I would say the errors form part of the same life in the future one have can make errors that is not serious one can learn from our errors sometimes.
Is stupid(for me)of saying what our future will be made much things can arrived or life present and stopped the future one your to better

I totally understand your thougyts as ayoung women > Perahps you are torn betweeen two cultures and when you studied history you did study it from the western point of view. History is a story of anecdotes.. there is always moral to the story The issue is did we get it ? so that we can aviod catestrophic results. This all will depend who do you ask and what’s their experience in life.
Finally: If you lived in palestine, you will have a different point ov view of the western world and you will be a stronger indivisual and a survior of the most unhumane conditions.
AST how true that is you made laugh and agree some what with u on this Arab phenomonon actually not only the Arabs but all relaxing nation and some of them Europe are always late.
