Religion.. how it is used..

By: Mona
.......................

Google Buzz

Religion is used to make you feel guilty about your actions. It makes your inner unconscious scrimmage from agony because you feel so guilty. Aaah.. I love religion and hate it. I want a neutral religion with no guilt. How about that? I am not gonna denounce the fact I am Muslim, but I need to have people stop using religion against me!

We need religion to just be pure ethical and morally positive! That’s all. I hate it when others use it to make you feel guilty!! aaahhhgghhhh..

Sidewalk, I don’t understand how you felt insulted (or so) by such thing.

Mona, I agree that religion can and is used to make people feel guilty, and even (can and is) being used to attack other people.

I also think that people can be ethical and morally positive without religion.
And also, some teachings in some religions are actually unmoral and unethical.

    :o

Roger you are right. Religion is supposed to be your inner personal guide. To make you a pure person with good morals and ethics. The problem is people are using it to attack others, make people feel guilty and use it for their advantage. I will not agree with you saying that in some religions some things are unmoral or unethical. I just think the way people interpret it and try to play around with it for their advantage is unmoral and unethical. That’s for sure!

How does someone use religion against you unless you enable them to? You have to give that power over to them. I understand if it’s family, that can be tough. They can do and say whatever they like, and call it what ever they like, doesn’t make it religion or give them power.

Power is granted when one releases it to another. Let’s replace religion, with Islam, for the following statement. “The problem is people are using Islam to attack others, and make people feel guilty and use it for their advantage? I would protest that, and say, that is not Islam and it is not religion. That is someone using another’s weakness, a preverse version of religion, to gain control and not have anything to do with actual religion or Islam.

Religion… how it is used… For me, it was used to ruin my sons graduation dinner!! Now I don’t have a problem with Jesus, but I do have a problem with some of his followers. My son graduated from a Christian Junior High School last night, it’s a great school for education purposes, however they tend to go overboard on God & Jesus. For a graduating class of 50 kids, the entire ceremony took 2 fucking hours & was 20 minutes late to begin with. The kids actually received their diplomas in about 12 minutes top, but the rest of the ceremony was God this & Jesus that, I thought I was going to punch somebody. According to the school newsletter, the ceremony should have only been 1 hour (from 5:30 to 6:30), so I scheduled accordingly & made reservations at my sons favorite restaurant (this great sushi bar). Needlesstosay they cancelled our reservations, they were booked for the rest of the night, as was every other decent and half-way decent restaurant in town (no surprise there it’s graduation time). Anyhow we end up eating dinner at some shithole restaurant around 9:00pm at night. Holy Shit!!!

Religion (from latin “religare”) is a social control system that unsure :
    - preventing people from spirituality quest
    - mind and soul slavery through submission
    - political control and mass manipulation
    - others
In order to seek for God (the real one, not that of religions), stay away from religions (all are lies, without exception). Think of it : A god of goodness inspires free will and does not write books for slavery. Reading Bible and quran is therefore very instructive if you use your mind, you will learn to avoid the other lies of our daily life.

There will always be those whom will use religion against another. You other have to learn to combat it, ignore it, or always keep the Surah “Al-Kafiroon” in your heart and recite it; it always keeps my mind where it needs to be. There is always going to be a fitnah before us, but it’s up to us if we want to do good or bad, and if we mess up we can always do Salaat Al Tobah :whee:

    SubhanAllah

People are going to say a lot of things, and may even challenge you, but always remember, “La Illaha Illa La Muhammadan Rasulu la”. That’s how it was, that’s how it is, and that’s how it’s going to be, no changes. Just beware of the Fish hooks of Dunya.

    Asalaamu Aleikohm Ramatullahi wa Barakatu,
