You have to make people think you care about them and you are their friend when in reality you are only looking out for yourself. If you are not that way you won't even get elected in the first place. It is unfortunate but that is how the world works. You rise to the top by stepping on other peoples heads. What you should realize that in the long term it is in your best interest to look out for other peoples best interests. Because over time when you neglect other peoples interest they become resentful. It is these resentful people that are responsible for having violent revolutions and over throwing governments. If you ever want a career in politics you have to be that way. You have to make people think you care about them and you are their friend when in reality you are only looking out for yourself.
