Cyber bullying
I heard on the radio this morning about cyber bullying on the internet. The most common sites are Facebook and MySpace. I never used MySpace so I don’t know. I just think MySpace is the worst looking and stupidest website ever designed and that’s why so many people use it. It is dumb proof! Anyways, so Facebook. Well, I have seen many groups on facebook that do somehow invoke such behaviour. I seen “Anti-XXXX” or “We hate XXXX” groups all over facebook. The funny thing is that the person who is the victim per say is the honorary member of the group and an active participant.
Unless there are secret groups, then obviously that is a major problem. I think there is more than bullying going on in facebook. There are problems people posting pictures of others without their permissions. People seeing their friend’s friends profile just to see pictures or know more information about them. I just think the whole cyberworld and especially sites like facebook are all messed up cause there are TOO many people using it. Still love it cause you can find lots of old friends or missing relatives on there that I find quite cool.

I am so glad that I didn’t have to contend with cyber bullying when I was growing up. It would have been just another way for some of my classmates to bother me. At least I got a break when I went home but now kids don’t get a break from their peers even at home anymore. It is enough to drive some kids looney.

I agree about Myspace. Its design is obnoxious. I fear Facebook may become just as messy because of the deluge of Apps coming out nowadays.
I was recently “cyber bullied” by someone whom either went to school with me or lives in my old community and I am a thirty-year-old grown ass woman!!! No matter how old they get, some people just dont grow up! I’ll never do social networking AGAIN! So young people BEWARE!! IMO if you have enough going on in your life, you really don’t need that nonsense!
