Twitter Obsession
I used to have on my blog on the side bar few months ago a daily update of the things I am doing for the day. It was a nuisance because I would have to do it manually by editing the sidebar code. So following some lovely Canadian bloggers from my city, I got introduced to the twitter obsession! I have it on the sidebar under “What am I doing?” I used twitter tools plugin for wordpress. I am trying to get some follow bloggers and friends to join because it is the best and funniest way to stalk one another. There is even a facebook application for it, but I didn’t like it. It will clutter the RSS feed and mine is already cluttered with the junk that I do.
So I got it up and running now, and I can also update it from my mobile. So if I don’t reply to your emails or comments right away, then you can see where I am.
My twitter account is rebelliousgirl. So let’s twitter together. If you have an account than add me. I am curious to see what everyone is up to!

The mobile part makes it an obsession for me. It’s the best at live events like BloggerCon, SXSW, Podcasters Across Borders and PodCamp’s! There is a ton of great conversation if you follow the right people and sometimes it’s just fun finding out what people are eating for breakfeast! Carefull though cuz I swear it’ll suck you in and before you know it you are following too many people and you get a lot of SMS messages. Thank god for unlimited incomming SMS in Canada!
I don’t get unlimited SMS. I use Fido.. Maybe I should upgrade my plan.. plus I don’t have the SMS mobile notification or any notification. I check everything on netvibes or I just go to the twitter site..
I’d check on that cuz I was told (at least from Rogers and Bell customers) that everyone in Canada gets unlimited incoming messages. I know Bell customers do and I added unlimited outgoing a long time ago. I send a lot to twitter as well as other people but you wouldn’t believe how many incoming messages I get. I tried to subscribe to the RSS but the update lag is just too slow for me personally and I can deal with my phone going off every 10 seconds. I just turn off SMS notification if it get to be too much.
wow.. you are such a techi guy Bill.. Good thing I keep up with your blog so I know what’s going on with technology and the world.. I seem to be behind.. or just slow..
There isn’t a service I know of I haven’t signed up for! What can I say I’m an addict and I love the conversation that can happen between all my Twitter Friends! It’s amazing when you ask a question and people respond.
I looked it up in the fido site and it is true.. incoming SMS is free.. unlimited.. hehehe..
But sending it cost money!!
I hate twitter utterly !!
