So this is the real reason why I am pissed off today. I mean it was like a cherry on top of a horrible day. My mother saw me chatting on msn with my friend. She is my only friend and only person I can trust and talk to. My mom then asks with such bewilderment and says, “don’t you have any other friends?”

I bursted out and I seriously flipped and I screamed so loud. I couldn’t believe she asked that. Was it a diss that I only have one friend? Is it because she lives in another city? I mean common.. how many friends out there would drive to your city, about 200 km back and forth during the day to just hang out and have lunch with you? I believe that is a good friend and a person who actually likes me as a friend.

Here is what I really wanted to say to my mom instead of screaming hysterically.

Dear mom,

I am sorry that I am not a social person who only knows various gossiping women. I am sorry I am not like their daughters, all engaged or married and moved on with their lives. I am sorry I am still at home and bugging you with my presence. I am sorry that I can’t make friends with random people just to be a social guru like you. I am sorry I am not an ideal perfectly fit and gorgeous daughter that you wish I am so I can be the envy amongst your friends. I am just sorry that I am your daughter and you are ashamed of me.

Angry, They said what?

I was thinking about this for the past 4 weeks.. How people at work don’t do work. All they do is watch stupid downloaded shows and movies. It’s pathetic. I don’t care if they watch it and still do their work. Programmers are known to be lazy bums who need entertainment to keep their sanity.. but they do nothing! So today I got fed up. When they constantly laugh and comment about the stupid shows they are watching, even though I have loud music and headphones on, I can hear them and see them! It’s not like they are on the keyboard typing or holding the mouse and looking like they are working. No. They were just sitting there laying back on their chairs enjoying the show.

Obviously I was fed up.

I messaged the boss man and told him. I was fed up. I rather go home early cause I work from 8 – 4. My lunch brakes I cut them down to 30 min so I can finish the stupid game I am making quicker and start full testing and debugging by the end of August.

So I told. I was a snitch. I was furious. I was honest and straight up. I told him. Few seconds later I guess the clowns at work got the message and one guy bursted out of his seat and said to the other guy, “we are busted.” It’s like going to work watching a pathetic comedy show. I wanted to laugh and I wanted to see what they will do next. I really don’t know what they did or what they were told to do. I could care less. I just straight up and I told my boss, “I don’t care about them and I never will, but I will not let them waste my time and make my work look bad.” I had enough of them and their whining and complaining about their life and money. They get a salary just like me. Fuck. Can’t they just fucken work?? Don’t they feel morally guilty for getting paid to sit and watch movies and tv shows on their computers?

I was more than a bitch than ever. It’s not like I didn’t have proof or anything of what they are doing. It was something I was noticing over the past few weeks. I am a system admin on the server and I saw the logs and activities. One guy last logged in 2 weeks ago and created a folder with a bogus name and in it I saw 6 or 7 episodes of some stupid TV show. Great waste of space.

Not only that, when the boss came back from vacation, all they did was show off and act like they did so much work and talked and talked. It was like watching a guilty child tell his parents a story so he/she won’t get in trouble. It was seriously pathetic to hear.

Seriously.. sometimes I wish I was a naive worker who was deaf and half blind and just didn’t see or know anything about what’s going on. Cause this situation really pisses me off. It makes me agitated and hateful of having such a job. Last week I was at the edge of quitting, then I thought maybe I should just take a vacation in first week of September when I have finished my work. I think I will do that because I am so sick of them. They act like 5 year olds who constantly need supervision and someone telling them what to do.

I swear I could care less and have no sympathy if they got fired. So many people out there are looking for a decent job to live, and I have to suffer watching clowns at work who have one. It’s pathetic!

Angry, They said what?

I have read many plays of one of the greatest writers of all time. William Shakespeare. I know many quotes and many lines of the plays. Although most people in high school hated having to learn such plays and reading old English, but I enjoyed reading a story. A story that was acted out. Now I am reading the entire Harry Potter series and I am on the third book now. I also watched the movies first. Currently, I am reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. As I have been reading the books thus far, I noticed a few things. A lot of the magical names and spells are using common Latin words. I liked that. Since I learned Spanish, I became more familiar of the Latin roots, and I found that amusing. However, as I was watching the movie Prizoner of Azkaban, I noticed this lovely song.

And they were singing and saying, “Double, double, toil and trouble. Fire burn and cauldron bubble. ” As I heard that, and my siblings were watching it with me, I said, “holy crap.. that’s from MacBeth!” They said “what?” I said, “that’s what the witches said in MacBeth!”

How did I remember that? Well, maybe cause the reason I liked MacBeth was because of the witches. Yet now, in the most famous modern book of all time, I see a song from the most famous writer of all time. Seriously, don’t you think the ancestors of William Shakespeare should have gotten some credit? I am really enjoying reading the series, and I loved the movies, but how much of history’s great works used in these books?

So I came up with a hypothetical situation. William Shakespeare at his time decided to write about witches. Witches at his time were very much satanic and they were burned at the stake. So somehow Shakespeare wanted to glorify and use the witches in his plays. Maybe his mom was a wizard. Who knows! So at the same time, the witching world, especially the ones at Hogwarts, were very pleased of his work. They thought finally the muggles were mentioning them and making them more likable and accepted by the muggle world. So a song was composed from the play, and became a trademark to the wizarding world.

That’s my analysis.

However, I love the books. I love how history and other famous plays were brought into this book. Very interesting and used at perfect spots! But let’s give credit to William Shakespeare ok..

Blah Blah, They said what?

I have Windows Vista Business edition. I installed it on the computer I bought earlier this year. I have an AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ 2.6 GH. 2 gigs of ram, and a very decent 512 meg video card. Lots of hard drive space and great 16x DVD player/writer. My computer is great. Fast and lovely. I decided to install Vista because it was available for me. It was a free educational distribution, and obviously I wanted to try it out.

Here are the problems I have been facing,

1. I can’t seem to dual boot, so Linux on a second partition was out of the question.
2. I can’t install software that I have been using for years on XP. Even when I change the compatibility version to XP, it still does not work.
3. Every time I install anything, I get at least 2 or 3 confirmation asking me, “are you sure?” “Is it safe?”
4. I can’t turn off the warnings or I will never know if there was an error. It’s either have it all, or not have it.
5. I wanted to install one of my favourite games, Civilization 4, but refused to install. Obviously that pissed me off.
6. I was browsing the net, and I was trying to see a clip using windows media player 10, but the screen froze. I saw a blue screen of death few seconds after, and the computer shut off. It rebooted again telling me, “you have just experienced a fatal error, would you like to tell Microsoft about it?” Thanks Vista for telling me what I obviously saw and experienced! Next time tell me what was the reason for it!
7. When I uninstall some software, the short cuts on my desktop don’t go away. I try to manualy remove them and tells me, “cannot remove shortcut, application does not exist.” No really?
8. Forced to use IE7, although IE6 was more stable. So I stuck to Firefox and never opened IE7 since installation.

These are minor things I just experienced. I am thinking of going back to Windows XP. But at this rate of my disappointment in all Microsoft crap, I am going to install Linux instead.
