We always think that our parents act with us in the most unsensitive way, that they don't care about our feeling and about our will when they just push us to get married and make our life a hell if we don't abide. But still, if we compare our situation to the one of your girlfriend, we are so lucky that our parents don't neglect us and that we don't have a young sister that people keep comparing us to her. WE ARE JUST LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You see Mona, your friend has worst problems than you and than me too. This made it worse for me, people always ALWAYS ask me when am I getting married - how the hell am I supposed to know! DO I have to walk around with a sign on my forhead that sez: "available for marraige" - she's just taking it too "sensitively".. tell her there's time for everything & she must accpet things the way they are.. she should focus on maturing up & proving her personality at something, not waste time with mushy girly feelings that don't help in today's world... As for religion, she said she prayed & nothing happened! Tell her, she should do it for Allah, not for things & desires - allah is not to be fooled around with, Allah knows if she's sincere or not - kel wa7ed is awarded according to his - her intentions mesh faking it.. she might as well not do it a9lan! Well her logic about practicing religion is screwed when she said she prayed and her life became worse, she also has some major insecurity. I don't mean to sound cliche but when you have a strong relationship and faith in God you don't need attention from others (whether it's your family or a guy) to feel confident and have self-worth and be content in life because you see the higher purpose. So if she was someone that I thought was worth helping and caring about as a friend (usually I just get annoyed at people that talk like that) then I would try to relay that message to her.
