Lack of diligence
Sometimes we try our best to work very hard and efficiently, but don’t we wish our minds were clear and focused at all times? How do we really focus on what’s important in our lives and what we are supposed to do when there are so many outside factors that effect our decisions? Us humans have a specific obsession with being diligent, but we have no desire in accomplishing or reaching that level of diligence at all. But why?
Lack of motivation: we are very unmotivated in what we must accomplish. The more we are given to do, the less we feel like doing it. It is the first sign of procrastination and a serious work related problem. There is no incentive to accomplish one’s work if there is a lack of motivation.
Lack of ethical discipline and pride: over the years, humans have tried their best to get all the rights they need to become individuals with a say and eliminate oppression; hence, this goes to us lucky ones living in a first world nation who achieved such privileges. However, the more we get, the less we want to give back. We become stubborn and don’t really care about what we want because we have “something” that will always back us up. Our rights. Our rights made us become careless people without any ethics, disciple and pride in what we can contribute back. There is no incentive to take pride in one’s work if there is a lack of ethical discipline and carelessness.
Lack of creativity: all humans are creative individuals, yet most of us choose not to be. I am not talking about being artistic or whatever. No. I am talking about coming up with new ideas. Someone else did, why can’t you? The first step in coming up with a new idea is to have a little bit of imagination. Come up with something different and original. Some may not agree with you. Some may even criticize you, but it is not a factor to give up. You want to do something, so present your idea. There is no limit on being creative, but there is a limiting factor. That factor is other people who are ahead of you. Why? Because of your lack of diligence and motivation to do anything about it.
Lack of concentration: this could be the worst factor that contributes to our lack of diligence. Our concentration. We cannot concentrate when there are a million things going on in our heads. Why can’t we just focus on one important thing? What is it important to us? What do we really want to get done? Why can’t we get it done on time? Why can’t we just lock our selves up and get the task done without any interruptions?
What will give us the drive to become diligent?
Examples.
School: We care about grades. We want to do well all the time because what we get will effect our choices in the future.
Wrong: some of us could care less about working hard to get the grades. We can be the worst procrastinators on earth and end up doing better than those who try too hard. So who is the winner in this situation? Who is more diligent?
Work: the more you pay me, the more work I do.
Wrong: you can pay someone six figures and treat them like crap and they will end up doing a half assed job. Money will not make a person more diligent. It’s how you treat them.
So are you diligent in doing what is important in your life?

wallahy ana am driving myself crazy by the way I think.. Lack of sleep for me
Robert – I agree with you.. that’s really the main problem us humans have.. trying our best and then thinking that our ideas are gonna be put off and ridiculed.. sometimes we wish we didn’t have any emotions and just did what we wanted without a care.
Chikapappi – you do need some sleep!!
Yes Miss Mona,…i really wish i could flick a switch and shutdown the emotional baggage…unfortunately the more i bottle them up…the more they surface…Im not so sure that without emotion, the drive to do anything at all wouldnt be gone…I guess then i could find fullfillment as a couch cushion
Hmm maybe it’d be ok to just not care about certain items….alas…the inability to pick a choose.
As for sleep.. its just turned cold here….which is the only time i get a good nights sleep.
Cheers!
