Guys can’t take a hint!
A Lebanese guy chats with me and he was not that great looking or my type at all. (I can be picky eh?) Plus I have no interest in Lebanese guys. Nothing against them, but I am just not interested in that particular nationality at all. So anyways, he starts a conversation with me and acts like a total hormonal idiot that he is and says,
“Wow, you are beautiful. I never seen such beauty.”
I said, “hmm, thanks.”
He says, “Are you Lebanese?”
I said, “No. I am Palestenian.”
He said, “Are Palestinian girls that pretty? I never knew. ”
This is when I got mad.Â
I said, “Sorry we are not fake.”
He said, “Why did you say fake?”
I said, “Fake. I am not fake. This is how I was born to look like.”
He said, “Oh, what do you mean by that?”
At this point I was frustrated by his dumbness!
I said, “I don’t need to take a loan from the bank to get plastic surgery and fix my God given nose and mouth!”
He said, “Oh, are you saying all Lebanese girls get plastic surgeries?”
I said, “And why are you surprised that Palestinian girls can be pretty?”
He said, “I never met a Palestinian girl before worth looking at.”
I said, “Well, and I never met a Lebanese guy who wasn’t gayer than gay and acts like a hormonal walking machine.”
He said, “Fuck you bitch.”
I said, “I guess I live up to the stereotype of a bitchy Palestinian girl eh?”
I am mean and I can’t stand guys who can’t say hi and start a line with such idiocity thinking I am cheap!
You know.. I was thinking about this.. if I want a guy I think I will go for a traditional bull headed Palestinian guy or maybe bull headed Syrian. They are both the same. Too much pride and thinking they can rule the house! So much fun arguing with such guys!! Life would be challenging and fun that way..
Maybe I don’t like compliments from guys.. hmm.. lol
I know.. I am so weird. I think it is a Palestinian thing.

Walik I’m urduniyya!!! The accents are almost the same, madani jordanian and madani palestinian (urban) are the EXACT SAME and falla7i palestinian and jordanian are both “rough” accents with the major difference being the “ka” and “ga” being inverted.
As weird as this sounds I actually studied arab accent differences. I was an international area studies minor in college and took a course with an arabic linguist whose interest was specifically jordanian and palestinian accents in Jordan. We dissected dialects like crazy: connotations, stereotypes, feminine vs. masculine,slang, usage of english and french words, social classes, age groups…….just everything to do with dialects and accents.
The main thing I took out of her study is that madani palestinian and jordanian female dialect have evolved to become the same, the other differences are subtle compared to any other two arab groups.
There’s no way syrian and palestinian are pretty much the same, I won’t get started on those differences it’ll be like pages long.

Secondly, only PALESTENIAN WHO ARE LIVING in JORDAN speak the SAME as JORDANIANS.. They all talk the same. I am not Palestenian from Jordan.. I am Palestenian from the North and have a slight Lebanese accent. So I think Jordanian and even Palestenian Jordanians have a heavy rough accent. Also isn’t Jordan like 80% Palestenian anyway?
That’s too funny Mona! Y’know I had a lot of stereotypes too about different Arab nationalities, and although I know that it’s probably mostly a preference rather than being prejudice , there are always exceptions to the “rule”. Do individual case studies
And sometimes y’know a compliment is just that, a compliment, not much to read into.
