Filmed interview eh?
A student last week emailed me from the University asking for an interview with me. A filmed interview.. I was like aah.. what? She wanted to interview me about my blog because I am Arab. I forgot to blog about it and obviously I said no thanks. I prefer my privacy and no one to know who I am.
This is what she wrote:
Hi,
I’m a journalism student at the University … and was wondering
if you were willing to be interviewed for my story. The interview will be
filmed, but will only be shown in class. I want to talk to you because you’re an
Arab woman. I’d like to discuss the positive and negative aspects of trying to
bridge the gap between different cultures when living in London …. (I believe
you said that might be the reason you have this blog-though I’m not sure you
were talking specifically about London.) I’m on a very tight deadline, so please
let me know if this is possible and how and when I might contact you for a
pre-interview as soon as you can. Thanks!
Interesting!!
Too bad I don’t want to go public about my blog. Only a selected few in real life know about it or care to read it on a daily basis. I don’t want to be filmed and viewed by other students about my blog and about being an Arab. That would just be weird!

weird! and CreeeepY
I thought it was nice and I was deeply flattered, but I like my privacy to stay private!
