The Internet only needs more top hits!

I am the social bookmarking and RSS obsessor of the obsessees. I have a very organized collection of RSS feeds and social bookmark sites. Oh by the way, for those who use RSS to view my site, please change your RSS link to my site to my feedburner account.. I am using feedburner now. I haven’t completely switched to it, but I am in the process of changing my site to something better. Anyways, I am always on Digg and Stumbleupon. I am an active member and I am always up to date with the world. I am also very observant of the “top Diggs” and popular stumbles and I noticed this peculiar thing. The top most rated blog posts or articles are the ones that have top 5 of “whatever.” Or 5 most amazing pictures of sky scrapers or houses or trees. Is this what you people want to see? You take someone’s opinion about top 5 or 10 of whatever and you think it is the final opinion and written on stone? “This blogger is so cool. He posted the top 5 hits of what he thinks. That means it must be true.” Get a grip people! I am sick of it! I want to read blog posts and articles that are interesting. I am sick of those top or most popular things of the day. Who cares!!

It’s like waiting for your favorite singer to be the first on top 10! Hmm.. who cares? The best songs were never the top of anything really. They were good and always memorable for not being over emphasized in the media. Same goes for the internet. Here is one of those annoying top posts, “the top 10 cars of 2007.” Some person decided to post his favorite top 10 cars of this year. Most of them are based on look and how expensive they are, and he slammed the info together with pics and called it “Top 10 Cars for 2007!” Wow…. bull crap shit! Who gives two shits! However, it gets lots of diggs, and lots of popularity. People like that stuff? The top 10 of the day is really that important? More important than news events and real human written insight of the world? You call that a blog post worth the popularity and to be dugg?

I am so disappointed with how the internet social media has become. It is rubbish written with no intellectual persona. However, since I am the Rebellious Arab Girl with so much vanity, whining and complaining about everything only makes me want to be part of the group of the popular kids. So I decided my top five will be a lot cooler. It will be about how wicked awesome my site is. *Sigh* I should be dugged for coming up with such a list! WOW!!!

Here are my top 5 reasons of why my site gets 1000’s of hits a day and Google loves to index it!

5. My site is filled with too many different moody thoughts and opinions and I write daily.

4. My site loads slow because I love graphics and people on dialup complain that they want to see it and I say, “kiss my ass.”

3. I like saying, “kiss my ass” to people who whine more than me and they still come back to read it more and more.

2. I fight with people who comment on my site because I have hard time changing my mind and I don’t bend that easily and they come back for more and start hate sites against me.

1. People think I am a porn site by the title and keep searching for “Sex Arab Girls,” and Google says yes, “Rebellious Arab Girl” is the number one relevant choice for your search!

Note: Google thinks I am awesome! However, I disagree about my awesomeness and I think Google doesn’t know how to search properly.
