I am not perceptive at all, but?

I watched The Golden Compass yesterday at the theater and I love it! Was it me or did I not see what was so controversial about the movie? It promoted Atheism? How? Maybe because the movie was just the first part of the trilogy, I did not see it. I am slow. Not perceptive, and I had no clue what was wrong. The only thing wrong with this movie is that it is promoted towards kids and there is so much violence in it.

I liked it. I loved the main girl’s personality and strong will. It honestly teaches kids to be strong and stand up for what they believe in and help each other. That’s what this movie is about. It’s a good lesson and I recommend it for kids over hmm.. 8! :P

I say, it is a good movie. Really nice to watch and has a good story.. :)

no shit, I thought it was a little to violent for kids as well… anyways something about this movie has the evangelists up in arms… there is a boycott this movie movement on facebook, the only reason I saw it, was to see what the big deal was…

I have read the books and enjoyed them, but I haven’t seen the movie yet.

But even though I’ve read the books, I still don’t see what they’re all upset about.

I have read all of Harry Potter and I think at times it is not suitable for kids too because of all the make believe and magic and stuff.

But till now.. seriously.. where is the Atheism? It’s puzzling me!!

I just learned about this through here and digged up the trailer.
Not sure if I’d like it..has a Narnia feeling to it..I guess I’ll avoid the cinema for this one and grab it next week on dvd.

typed in Boycott and Golden Compass on google… anyways the Catholics are annoyed because the Mageistium is trying suppress free thought and the Magestium is also a term used in Catholic Church refering to the Pope and his bishop advisors…
