Bloggers and the Internet gang epidemic

20/12/07 @ 4:59 pm

I have noticed in the infamous blogsphere that particular bloggers form their own cliques. They comment together on other blogs, on each other’s blog, begin fights on other blogs, and they join every stupid group together. Yet, what intrigues me is the nonsense comments that they post on other blog sites. The nonsense is what attracts people. I noticed bloggers tend to comment on a post if they see other bloggers doing so. They don’t really read the post, they just agree with their blog friend because they want to make sure the opinion that is bashing the blog poster is agreed upon and people will join their twisted thoughts and opinions. It’s like a support group that one negative blogger brings with him/her.

Where has the personality of bloggers gone to?

I wish those stupid commenters had an inch of personality on their own sites to bother commenting on other sites. What a waste of time.

They blog together, comment together, and they take the side of their blogger friend without thinking. It’s like they are riding this bus together and stopping where everyone else stops. They get off, throw out their crap, and go back on the bus to visit another blog to throw out more of their trash.

Are people stupid? I have visited around 15 blogs today and I read the comments, (yes, visitors read comments, not just the blog owner), and it was the same group of people who just agree with one another by writing something completely irrelevant to what the post is talking about.

Why do blog owners allow this nonsense to permeate their blogs?

The problem with some visitors is that if you delete their post or not approve their post, they will start emailing you nasty emails calling you close minded, and an awful person. Am I an awful person if I don’t agree with you insulting me?

People seriously need to stop this nonsense. The origin of these blog gangs are from those stupid aggregator sites and other small social websites that have a collection of RSS feeds. The thing is, and I have known many bloggers who have suffered through this, they did not want to be a part of these sites! They were just added there by who ever created the stupid site.

I like large social networking blog sites. You have to confirm your email before you are added. That’s the way it should be done. If a blogger does not want to be part of this nonsense, then they have every right to remove them selves so less stupid people come from one source.

What blog medium or social networking site that is causing you the dislike of blogging?

Great article and so so true. I’m going to make a post about my own experiences in this topic as I think I can add quite a bit. For instance did you know that most bloggers are not even real. No joke, there are many ‘groups’ and even companies out there that are the supposedly personal blogs. I can name names here but will not. Why blow up their spot. What you do though to find out is just try to contact them even for work in their own fields.

As an example I have a major project that I am having hundreds of bloggers write about for a new site. There are now a few dozen SEO ( search engine optimization people) that have supposed prices for services but when you contact them, they will not answer. No phone numbers, nothing. You can see this all over the place with a social sites like Digg, Sphinn, my own earthfrisk.com and so on. . Check out the posts then try to contact some of the social media people on it.

I had one character tell me that he has a $500 consultation fee ( this without me even telling him the name of the project) and when I said ok for one hour of speaking, never heard from him again! Can you imagine a real person throwing away $500 for a one hour chat to just advise someone?

I have narrowed down 3 groups of people on Social Media sites, with a very great number of multiple personalities.

Look at their sites and many spew out the same kind of comments and the like that you speak of here.

It’s like a chorus pushing their own agenda - which is merely to tell each other how great they are so an advertiser like myself might come to their site and see all of the comments and think - they must be big.

This is what it boils down to - an old saying that goes ” You have to fake it until you make it” Which is BS to me!

Believe almost nothing of what you read on the internet.

I agree with you. The sites you are thinking may not be the same ones that I have in mind, but same problem everywhere.

Also, I get many people emailing me asking me to make them site templates and they will pay. So I email back asking what exactly are they looking for? Exact project detail. They never answer back. Oh well. Too many weirdos.

You know reading your post about these gangs, they sound to me like the mmo games guilds and societies, now all they need is the graphics and virtual weapons on the blogs to fully implement their abusive strategies.

Lodispoto opened my eyes on the goals of these ppl,I guess they do serve a hidden goal to make certain websites delusional for advertisers and investors.

Mona, I would not take this personally. Many of these bloggers live in the same geographical area and know each other personally, thats why they seem to agree with each other or comment on each others comments. I personally enjoy reading many of the blogs and I once in a while make a comment or two but for most part I like reading about whats happening back home.
