Ehm.. what to really say?
I just came from downstairs talking to my parents.. My mom was like, “you having a birthday party eh?”
(we are not doing it on our birthday.. but in the end of the month.)
I am like, “yah, with my friend.”
My dad said, “Alone? Just you two?”
I said, “No no.. we invited people.”
Dad said, “just girls?”
I hesitated and said.. “Aahh.. yah yah..”
My mom had this “eh whatever” expression of disapproval cause I said girls.
Mom and dad said agreeing together, “What.. you people need to grow up.. invite girls and guys.. be normal human beings and stop acting like conservative Arabs.”
I said… “aaah.. ehh.. ok.. ”
By the way, we invited everyone we knew.. we didn’t care if it was boy or girl really. loool I just didn’t know the initial reaction of my parents so I went with the flow to see what they will say first.

lucky you! I won’t be having one – I wanted to host a karaoke night with all the people I know bas I will be outta toooooooooown WOHO!
where will you be??
That’s great what you did to your parents haha! Happy birthday when it comes. When is your actual birthday? Mine is on Dec. 29.
I stopped having parties years ago. It’s far too much work, plus everyone is all occupied (or on vacation) because of New Years or Christmas. So instead I just hit up people for free drinks for the next few weeks. It works for me.
LOL, yea they loosen up on you as you get older, but my parents are still really conservative when it comes to guy girl interactions…. but at least now they don’t freak out when a guy calls me (or at least my mom doesn’t).
My birthday and my blog’s birthday is Dec. 23rd.
Yep.. the older you get.. the less your parents care about boy-girl interactions..
yep they just wish the heck we would grow up and get married!
