Self esteem issues

By: Mona

If you are considering eating disorder treatment, look for a program that provides 24/7 medical supervision, nutritional guidance and a variety of therapies. With the right eating disorder treatment program, recovery is possible.

The sad part about the world we live in is the self esteem problems that guys and girls suffer from daily. For girls it is the constant problems they possess about their physical appearance. They are too fat, too short, too ugly, not as pretty as a model, have a big nose, small mouth, etc. Oh my God I got sick of hearing that same thing over and over again. No one is born ugly. No one. You are only physically ugly if you change the way you look to some bazaar looking freak with too much makeup and strange hair cuts. You are also ugly if you act ugly. If you are rude to others and think others are beneath you and you are the queen of the world then yes, you are an ugly person.

The biggest whiners are Arab girls. I swear it is because of their mothers. Their mothers convince them that if they are not 110 pounds that they will never get married because guys only want skinny model like girls. (don’t forget the Arab mom’s obsession with a very light skinned girl with blue or green eyes.) *smacking my head on the wall*

Seriously, girls now a days have a major self esteem problem with the way they look. I don’t know why. Why can’t girls accept the way they look? What is wrong with the way you look? Look now. Stop reading the rest of this article, and go look at your self in the mirror for 1 min. Just act a bit vain and stare at your self. What do you see?

1 min …

Ok.. so you saw your self. So, are you ugly? You only think you are ugly if you keep comparing your self to others. If you think you are ugly because you are not some hot model that guys keep staring at in the street and won’t take their eyes off you then WRONG. Guys stare too much because they see a girl who is BEYOND abnormal and keep looking at her wondering if she is real.

Well girls, cut the crap and this self esteem problem. You are pretty, gorgeous, just tell your self that a million times and believe it so hard, then that tiny part of your brain will tell the rest of your semi-functional brain to shut up and accept your natural God given beauty.

Q. But Mona, sometimes you write like you have self esteem problems?

A. Yah.. that’s when I am moody, but I never said I was ugly. I am not ugly. Duh..

Now the guys.. Oh man.. I mean it.. oh man. Guys guys.. I have never met more whiners and people with self esteem issues than guys. It made me wonder why girls have this problem at all. It is the guys who think they are ugly. Guys, you are not ugly. No matter what. If a girl rejects you or doesn’t want you, it is not because you are ugly. It is probably cause you acted like a dumb butt or said something stupid. I know it is heart breaking and you think girls are shallow and only go for looks, but they don’t. Girls have their own problems that they become defensive and may reject you because you acted dumb and strange. That’s all.

The reason I am mentioning this is because I knew so many guys who thought they were not good looking at all because no girl wants them. I tell them this, “you are stupid and you act like a 5 year old. Why would any girl want you?”

Girls are easily attracted to mature men. Simple as that.

The goatee will help! :D

Come on get over the goatee!!!

So, what a nice uplifting post. I had some problems too with my looks, but I figured, what the heck, I’m handsome. Did some “refurbishing” if I can call it that and OMG I’M DROP DEAD GORGEOUS

Its amazing what losing a moustache (and some weight) can do. Anyways, people need to understand your point, but I doubt anyone will live with it. I know alot of Arab girls/guys who will go look at the mirror, come back continue the post, feel good for exactly 5 minutes, and get back to whining… Its in our blood!!!

    I can’t see a solution for that… seriously!
I guess people will have to work on it themselves, and until the day someone realizes how beautiful they are (in the inside and outside) and start acting like it, they will live will that problem.

You know what? You are spitting a load of crap. Girls DO go for guy’s who are handsome (and it’s the same guys who will end up treatin them like crap.) Most guys and girls ARE shallow, the first thing they notice is looks. Looks is the first thing you notice, it’s only AFTER you have gotten to know the person you get to appreciate him or her.

And another thing, girls have a self esteem issue. (Don’t forget the beauty industry caters more to girls.) Guys have more of a confidence issue. They are most likely to say or do something stupid if they are not confident around girls. It’s true you can tell yourself you are pretty and also believe it, but it also helps if those around you affirms it.

I know what you mean. I met this guy and he is a complete doll. Dark brown hair light blue eyes…awesome personality but he doesn’t think he is handsome so men feel this also. Just where I live seems that it is the woman whose voice is heard most…more than likely because there is such an overemphasis on being a model 10 instead of normal for you. Thanks for this topic it is so right on the $$$$$$$$$$$

alfacider – be polite and have some respect when talking to me. Second of all, you cannot generalize and classify people as shallow. Unless you and everyone else you know is like that, then that is your problem. Thirdly, yes, people first notice physical beauty, but it is not the ultimate factor to determining a long lasting relationship. Not at all. So stop accusing and don’t come to my blog again writing like that.

    Thanks

DID you actually READ what i wrote. I am not accusing anybody i am stating a fact, how things work in this world. I NEVER said beauty is the only or determining factor. It is the first thing people notice, it’s AFTER you get to know the person you get to appreciated them. Read my response again and let it sink into you, before going on the DEFENSE.
