I hide
One thing I don’t like is people bugging me. I tend to hide and stop answering phone calls or answer emails or chat on msn. I just want peace and quiet! Please! I have stuff to do, things to accomplish, and I feel trapped by having to please people. Why do I have to please everyone?
Yesterday was worse. I was hounded and I had missed calls on my cell phone and constant msn messages asking me to call someone just to make sure if he will pick up. Just a missed call. Nothing more.
That’s when I drew the line. I actually said, “NO.”
Also, I was stereotyped as a person who always argues and never agrees. I am sorry, why should I agree with something I don’t believe in? I don’t agree with people for the fun of it and just please them. I could care less. I say and do things that satisfy me. I don’t care if it is right or wrong. As long as I am convinced than that’s it. Then they say there is no room to argue with me. Argue with that? I said no and I didn’t agree the first time, why would I change my mind the second time?
So I decided to just hide and stop talking to people. I need my quiet alone time. I haven’t had that in a long long time.

Actually, I don’t like to appear offline when I’m there…
So I leave an away message when I don’t want people to bother me. I clearly had an away message that said:
“Away. Leave Me Alone. Attempting to Relax.”
and guess what… THEY DIDN’T STOP! WHAT MORE SHOULD I SAY??!!
I also never shut my phone, but I guess, from now on, I will…

i used to do that constantly on weekends, just switch off the cell and shut down the pc, no msn no mail no nothing.. best thing ever!

Unfortunately, it is not the same guy.. another one. I agree with you about the attention part. It is getting lame and I never had to go through this.
