Radio Interview
By: Mona
.......................
I just woke up from a horrible mid day sleep. I seldom sleep during the day, but the headache was too much. I checked my blog email and I got this one lady from Toronto emailing saying she would like to have a Radio interview with me this week about being a first generation Canadian. I thought why not. This should be a highlight to my week and to be broadcasted and heard by over 2 or 3 million people.
So the interview is on Wednesday at 8:30 am for me, and it will be broadcasted twice a day. I am not sure about the details, but I will get a copy of the conversation because I can’t listen to radio stations 200km from where I live. So I will put a copy of the interview on my blog as soon as possible.

cool gratz lady! ur gonna be a celebrity..”or u already are since u got this invitation”..eat well and take care of ur health so u’d sound good.
looking forward to hear it.
Congrats! Hope it all goes ok
Will you mention your blog?
I am 90% sure they will ask me about it. In the end, I am just Mona – The Rebellious Arab Girl.. Nothing more.. nothing less!
Hey hey u better mention ur readers:twisted:, and thank them… very very much…. and… and… dunno. Gongrats, Have Fun and sound joyful!!
Now is that cool or what? I remember being stopped by some radio journalist about 5 years back where I said something about vegetarianism on a conference (yeah, I’m a vegetarian). My 15 seconds of fame was doubled. I beamed with pride the entire day, LOL. All that for nothing in retrospect!
All the best! Really looking forward to listening to that interview of yours!

Well my 5mins of fame turned out bad (Well sort of) I was told I would be on a show about stunts (I used to run a stunt website) and the about 7 days before they showed it on TV they phoned me and told me the show would be called “Teenagers From Hell” which was shown in a bad light…. Crap. But in the end it did really well and the website went down because it got so many hits that the server could not cope. Some of the groups i worked with still are going too.
Good luck again, and yea make sure you thank them at the end.
what time is the second broadcasting and what station Mona? i wonder if I can get it in Kingston? Here at the school we got all kinds of long range frequency gear, I wonder if I can pick up a London Broadcasting? Hmmm… this could be interesting.
I will post about it more.
She told me these details:
radio magazine show that airs every
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. and 6:00
p.m. on 96.9 Radio Humber
cool I should be able to listen… (hopefully) do you have what could be considered a Radio personality? maybe this could be a change in direction for in jobs or are you too attached to the (world of internet). Since were in the same time zone I’m assuming your having a lazy Sunday morning too, hows yours going? Here’s a mental picture on mine laying in bed with laptop (Army barracks in Kingston) Snoring roommate across from me (with lingering country tunes in the background, snoring roommate to the right of me sleeping in the fetal postion, a bright but not a sunny day outside to the left of me. Beer bottles and Pizza boxes littered on the ground. Ginger ale and dill pickle chips on my desk. I don’t know why I’m describing my surroundings I just feel like it…
You seriously need to start your own blog man. Your writing style and descriptions of things is hilarious. You could be the funny army guy! I know lots of people who would be curious to know how it feels to live in Barracks and be part of the Army. Or better yet.. just blog about your self and your life. I am curious to know more about you!
David has a good point there. If all goes good maybe it could be some Karma coming back around
I’ll see what I can teach myself about blogging and hope to improve. I’m busy during the week but Sundays I don’t get out of bed until at least noon. I’d like to set up a better sight… everyone else has such awesome sights. I like yours a lot, your ease of use, lay out, I think most bloggers are computer savy. I’m not I bought a Mac only because it was so user friendly. I’m taking a 5 week IT course before i go to Afganistan next year so hopefully i’ll get better.
David you could use Google’s Blogger service. That is free and is a point and click service that would get you up and running in a matter of minutes. You don’t need to create some elaborate blog to get blogging. It is the ideas that count in the end. A person can have the most pretty looking blog around but if the content is crap nobody will read it. I don’t merely visit Mona blog because it is pretty but looks are just the cherry on the cake.
Mona I look forward to hearing you radio debut. Good Luck!
