Love letter
I got an email today from someone telling me how he feels. I decided to share the warmth of love from my blog reader and ridicule such exaggeration.
Marhaba Mona
I have been reading your blog for a very long time and I think we can be happy together. I’m 32, Muslim Filistiny and an electrical engineer. I like the beach and island life and I enjoy a quiet time just like you. I really like your blog because I have never met an Arabic girl who tells the truth and not afraid of anything. It is a rare trait in our culture and I can go back home and here in Canada and I can never find a girl just like you.
I live in Toronto and I would like to meet you. Can you add me to MSN and I will give you my phone number too. I am willing to come to London and meet you. I am sure you will not be disappointed and I think you are the best person I have ever met. The more I read your blog the more I fall in love with you over and over. Please consider my offer and I will do anything to make you happy. Your blog is really amazing and I can’t stop reading it and falling in love with you.
Love you,
XXX
I read this email and I thought it was a joke, but the guy is serious. Whoever wrote it and you think it is some Valentine joke or whatever than I am not falling for it at all. I just can’t believe that some people out there would go to that extreme and think they are falling in love with someone’s writing style and thoughts. Dude. I am nutz. No one loves me after they read my blog. They think I am some crazy chick who is too old and unwanted and just complaining about life. Believe me, if you met me in person you may not like me at all. I am not “pretty” or “Arab marriage material” or “liked by other Arab moms.” So no one please ever email me some sappy love note saying that they fell in love with me from my blog. That’s stupid and ridiculous.

Geez, people can be that serious about someone they don’t know nickel about? It sure makes me wonder!
*me thinks about his past crushes
He sounds soooo desperate!!!
He must be broken hearted now
Wallahi I see nothing wrong with the letter, il zalameh is going directly to the point, he exactly matches ur description ,he reads ur daily thoughts and have developed some kind of attraction for u,love is too much of a word to use bas it appears that he definitely really likes u…as long as this is not a sick joke and he’s honest of all of what he says, I see no reason why u want to completely block him off.
Question is, where is he on this blog? I’ve never noticed a long time reader guy of this description here!
I have a lot of daily readers who never comment.
Same as me. I read a lot of blogs daily but never comment..
uh ya That would creep me out.
If I helped out lover boy in getting a slight chance, tell em no need thank me and send me anything, alternatively he can donate to ur island project.
OK. I’ll post my opinion as usual although I know it’ll be ignored
Being pretty or not has nothing to do with love.
I’d say maybe this is attraction but not love. But then, I don’t know.
Mohammad Sameer. I don’t ignore you.. I don’t always answer people’s comments. That’s all!
Man, I stop reading this blog for a few days and your already having guys falling at your feet (Words).
I wonder what this guy was thinking… I bet he planned this letter and asked a few friends about what to say.
I feel for the guy, but instead of reading blogs looking for love, why not go out and find someone… i am sure there are more Arab girls like this then you think there are.
Good luck
Back in the days when I used ICQ, I listed “arabic” in my interests and had loads of proposals of the kind too. I removed that word because I’m the kind of person who wants to make everyone happy, and with these guys, I just can’t.
I wonder what a guy whom you’s like would have to write.
