White folks can’t shake!
I was at the gym this morning and one of the songs we danced to was Shakira’s “Hips Don’t Lie.” Obviously, part of the routine was to belly dance. My sister and I were breezing through it. It is pretty much the only thing we can do with ease. It’s so natural to shake our ass! 
Then we look around and all these women are barely moving. They couldn’t even twist their hips from one side to another.
My sister then said, “Mona, the only thing you can do is shake. You suck at everything else.”
I said, “yah yah yaaaaaaaaah! It’s too easy. I am Arab and that’s how we dance!”
She said, “no one else was able to. It was hilarious!”
I said, “yep.. too bad.. They need some belly dancing classes. Jeez.. they can’t shake at all!”
The advantage of being an Arab. We can shake it like no tomorrow!

ummm Mona, now I will start to disagree with you. Belly dancing is one of the very few things arab girls are good at!! Plus it is a major income to poor countries like Egypt, Syria and Lebanon..lool..it is a ‘tourist attraction’ to them..so we must encourage this culture (I repeat..culture).. not make fun of it… It is not an easy body skill..lol how many body skills arab girls are good at?? Once I was in a dinner in one of the 5* star hotels in Damascus..after the dinner, I was (blessed) by the belly dancer who came over to talk to me (simply to ask why I was on my own..lol) what she expected the answer to be I am not sure..anyway, I commended her dancing techniques (of course I was lying) and asked her where she learned that awesome art (between me and myself I was ‘art my ass!!). I was shocked when she said she took a year course to learn how to dance..and now you are telling me your sister thinks it is only a matter of ‘shake it?’ Lool lucky you Mona if the only thing you can do (in your sister’s words) is shake!!
I can shake my butt cause I have huge Arab hips. So it just swings from left to right easily!
That clip was funny! I also like that sound with the tongue and mouth that Arabs/East Africans make! How did you learn to ‘shake it?’ :p:
