Too early for attitude

Google Buzz

I was on the bus this morning at 7:35 am, and this one lady ran to the bus and asked the bus driver, “do you go downtown?”

The bus driver said, “no. I go to the University only.”

She said, “well which bus goes downtown?”

Bus driver said, “the one in front of me that just left.”

She said, “well can you dispatch it to come back or stop. I have to go now!”

Bus driver said, “by the time I dispatch him he would have gone too far.”

She then got MAD and said, “I have to go downtown. I am lost and I have no idea which bus goes where. I got a job interview at 8 am and I am fucking screwed! Can’t you fucking HELP ME!”

Bus driver said, “that’s not my problem. I don’t know all their schedules. You got to wait 10 – 15 minutes for the next one I believe.”

She then started screaming and got so emotional and pissed and crying.

Bus driver just closed the door and left.

First off, I would never hire her. She is late for a job interview anyways. It’s always a good first impression to be PUNCTUAL and be there at least 15 minutes early. She doesn’t know the bus schedules and she actually accepted a job interview at 8 am which means she is desperate and immature and have no idea how the working world works. I feel pity for her ignorance and her lack of anger management.

Hey, I love the site … one of 5 blond birds has just informed me that we actually blog out of the very same city. I’m delighted to find you. I have to agree with you – this person would not be hired by me either. All the best!

Scary person, for all 3 jobs that I’ve held, I went and “scouted” the address the day before. You can never be too prepared for a job interview. It’s unbelievable how she expected the bus driver to dispatch another bus back to pick her up, and the words “can you fucking help me” are definitely not the ones to use when you are asking for a huge favor. With such people skills, she would have lost the job later even if they hired her.

yeah, why didn’t she go look for a cab instead of venting her anger and inconveniencing others?

yah well.. some people absolutely have no idea what the real world is like. And I would have obviously taken a cab and not bothered with buses at all!

I feel sorry for her and she probably didn’t have money for a cab if she is unemployed. I agree she needs to clean up her language and learn to control her emotions better but I still feel for someone down and out no matter how weird they may appear to me. Being unemployed can make a person desperate enough to go for an 8:00 in the morning interview. It is a depressing state to be in and it is understandable if a person loses it sometimes.

Being a military veteran I have no sympathy for people like this. Sorry but I don’t. If you know (if sigh…she DID know) that she had an interview at 8am she should have been up extra early because crap happens i.e. accidents on the road whatever, and be early to the interview. I am with you on this one!
