No to domestic animals!
That’s what my mother keeps saying. So I am stuck with aquatic because they are caged in their home which is close to their natural habitat. I don’t like birds in the house because I do not like the idea of keeping birds caged. It is just not right. They should be flying in the sky!
So why no to domestic animals?
Let me tell you the story of the cat we had. This was about 6 years ago. My cat was named Micky. She actually understood and came to me when I called her by her name. She was an awesome cat. I got her when she was 4 months old. She was too cute! One day, when she was 6 or 7 months old she became needy. She needed male cats. Being an Arab family, the whole concept of getting a cat spayed or neutered is beyond rediculous and a waste of money. (That’s how we think for reasons that are unknown.) So Micky got horny, and she became violent and wanted to GET OUT of the house. It was summer, so I was like fine, get out you horny beast!
She left.
Day one. No sign of her. I thought that she won’t come back.
Day Two. No sign of her. That’s it. She got eaten by the raccoons.
Day three. In the evening sitting by my window I hear loud hissing. I looked down at the back porch and I saw Micky and two other cats. One of the cats was huge and black, and the other was almost her size and was black and white. Micky was black and white too. I called my brother and we were laughing so hard and we said, “damn. She really really wants to get it on! She scooped out the entire neighborhood and brought back a couple of dates!”
A day after Micky came back and she was knocked up. She only had 2 kittens, and honestly, the way cats birth their offspring is quite amazing. They are so protective too of their little ones. I wish humans were like that sometimes. Anyways, so she had two FEMALE kittens. We named them Maya and Pixy. We named one of them Pixy because she was ALL black and she was skinny like a pixy stick!
Well, a cat cannot be only horny once? Right? So Micky left again after a few weeks and got knocked up again. See a pattern here? So not only did she have 3 kittens, but she had 3 girls this time! My brother decided to give them away to better homes. Having 6 cats in the house was not going to be pleasant! After we got rid of the kittens and Maya and Pixy grew up as well, well, lol. You know where this is going? lool

They all GOT horny!
That’s when mom opened the door and kicked them all out! She said, “I had enough of those cats! I will not open the door for them again! Let them roam in the streets where they belong!” I kept pleading! NO NO! My cats!
That’s when the whole no to domestic animals began and ended.
Do I miss my cats? YES! I want my cats back. I think their great great grandchildren are roaming the neighborhood. Lots of stray cats!

Oh! So sad for you Mona
I love my cats too. They are my life. I hope someday that you will can have cats again
I hope so too. I miss having a cat!
Reminds me of the cats we have now.
We are used to seeing wild animals roam, we have deer, foxes, rabbits, bats, racoons, but one day we found a cat sitting at out door. After looking at her we thought she was going to die, I mean you could literally put your fingers between individual ribs, was sick to see. So we fed her, and she got fatter. Well after about three weeks she was like a blimp with legs, and we knew… pregnant. She eventually gave birth to 4 kittens, 3 male and 1 female. So we looked after them too. After they grew up a little more, we noticed that the little female was pregnant. And not only her, the mother was pregnant again!
They both gave birth on the same day too, one at morning the other at night. In total it was 7 more kitties!
Thankfully the babies quit coming, but a few more wild animals know where our house is now, guess we’re like a soup kitchen now.
