I am not the cleaning lady!

I am not a crazy cleaner or anything, but dammit, why the hell do I have to keep cleaning the fucking small ass office at work?

First off, the garbage is seldom ever taken out. Why? No clue. Damn UNION! So I end up taking it out 2 or 3 times a week cause no one ever TAKES IT OUT!

Secondly, my lovely co-workers leave uncleaned plates, bowls and utensils just sitting out to collect mildew and dust near the fridge. Who ends up cleaning it after I suffer looking at it for a week? ME!

Thirdly, my lovely co-workers leave food in the fridge for days, weeks, maybe even months that rots in the fridge that it starts to grow some weird ass stuff out of it and leaks all over. Who takes it out after the smell penetrates my skin when I open the fridge? ME!

I am sick of it. I swear! I spend at least an 1/2 hour of my day cleaning this shit. I don’t even bother with the other office that is filthy half the time and garbage cans over flowing. They like the look of garbage over flowing than that’s their problem. I honestly don’t care anymore except where I sit most of the day ALONE! At times I hate being alone but I found other ways to keep me sanely entertained while I am working, but I only dreamed of my own office, OWN office so it would stay CLEAN! I got sick of the smell, the dust, and the mildew. God I hate working here!

So why don’t you just talk to them? Won’t this be easier?
If everyone cleaned their own stuff, no one will ever suffer…

You shouldn’t have to ask. If they are too irresponsible to clean their stuff up in the beginning do you think they will really care when someone else says something?

Don’t know what to say advice wise… The way I dealt with my former roommates probably wouldn’t be work appropriate.

Augh! Tell me about it! Been there myself, I cried out for them to get someone to clean, but its more like me asking a dead man to make me a sandwich!

In the end, I gave up and cleaned my desk myself! It was annoying, VERY! but I had no other choice, and I hate to sit in a dirty/messy place. Not that I am “Miss Cleaning is a virtue” – no, I am just clean, and thats it.

‘nyway, they need a yell at their faces, it works sometimes. And it is not your job to do a cleanup!

Throw their dishes in the trash or put it on their desk and tell them that their mother doesn’t work there. I think that should give them a clue.
