I had a pretty amusing conversation on msn with Moey the graphics guru from Jordan, and he was telling me of all the problems and craziness the Arab blogsphere has been going through lately. I had no clue because I don’t care about the Arab blogsphere.

Here is the thing.

1. I don’t read many Arabic blogs because only 4 or 5 are written well with original contents and truthfulness. I only read the top and most popular blogs on the internet. I learn from the best, and strive to be better than them. That’s how we excel in life. No?
2. Arab bloggers contain them selves in a bubble and never open up as human beings to the world. I seldom ever see commentors on Arab blogs that are non-Arabs.
3. Arab bloggers don’t share and comment on other non-Arab blogs. So their audience is contained to one focus group, and that focus group is narrow minded and all you see on their posts are fights and childish antics.
4. I am one of the most hated Arab bloggers out there, and I am proud of it because I eliminated a lot of rubbish from my blog. I don’t gain or loose anything from one group of people.
5. Don’t think I don’t know who comments or doesn’t comment on my site or even visits my site and from where. I got 4 stats monitors on my site, and one of those stat monitors can see the true IP address from behind proxy servers.
6. For those who boost about their site statistics being in the thousands and even millions, well, you only fool the blind. There are two sites, technorati that measures blog statistics for popularity and reactions, and Alexa that measures world wide presence. You can fool your self, but not the bots that crawl your site and web stats monitors.
7. If you are an honest Arab blogger and want to increase your blog presence, then look outside the norm. If you are a personal blogger then speak of personal matters that everyone can relate to or even learn from. That’s how you get your true audience.

That’s my speech for today and I demand a cup of Starbucks coffee tomorrow morning from each person whose Google Adsense revenue increased by 200% because they changed their writing attitude. Yes, I use sleazy money making advertising on my site because I need to pay the hosting bills for this site. This site is not free you know. It’s free for you to read, but not for me to keep up.

Damn, I am seriously craving Starbucks at 11:20pm at night. I should be damned to hell for being so shallow!

Blah Blah, Random Thoughts, They said what?, Whatever!

Maybe I am the only person in the entire world who hates the end of the winter. Spring is coming, and the temperature today is 7ºc. That’s 44.6ºF! Oh my God! From the moment I left work till I got home all I heard from people is complaints that it was hot! Even my brother said that it was so hot outside and he wore a short sleeve shirt. I am still waiting for someone to wear shorts, oh wait, I saw a guy today! Ok ok. That’s not why I hate the end of winter and early spring. The weather is nice, and I am tired of sub zero temperatures and my tan face looking like an old riped tomato.

I hate it because of all the mountains of snow melting. The streets are all wet, the sidewalks are puddles of nasty dirty water, and the snow looks so disgusting like left over manure! And people are happy about that? Let all the water make your brand new $200 jeans soak in water of dirt you whining fools! It’s hot all right!

Angry, Blah Blah, Funny, They said what?

This is pertaining my previous post. I noticed that some Arabs have a tendency to make up some stupid comment under religion in their profile.

Like the following:

“God is here.”

“Why do you ask?”

“I am everything.”

“None of anyone’s business.”

etc.

Why? Is it so hard to just pick Muslim. If you don’t want to then just DON’T WRITE ANYTHING YOU FOOLS. Oh my God you make me sick.

Angry, Ranting as usual!, They said what?, Whatever!

Since today is Friday, and for us Muslims it is the great day of rejoice and supposedly a holiday for us, but living in North America has changed that. That’s ok; we all got used to it.

I remember the good old days of the true meaning of Friday prayer. Not to say I am sacrilegious in any way, but I prefer to keep religion as a private matter because it is, and it should be. Preaching your religious views unto others will not make you get closer to heaven. You are not an expert of it, but just a follower. That’s you and me and I am excluding all those who are more knowledgeable of the faith and preach it to the masses to teach others.

I will get to my point in a second. I will explain the ritual of Friday prayer with some Arabs I have met. Friday prayer for them is only the appearance of them being religious. So them praying to God is not as important as praying in front of other people. I never understood it. Their only prayer is a weekly prayer held on Fridays. I am a bit confused and I always wondered about this. These are people who drink, go to clubs, do other adulterous stuff that we shouldn’t get into because I am trying to keep my website G rated (yeah whatever), and yet, they pray Fridays? So they commit all the sins that were ever mentioned since the beginning of time, and they pray Fridays only to mask their true identities? Hypocrisy? Hmm. Yah!

I don’t get it. Are these people stupid? Do they not realize that human opinions are not as important as what God sees? Are they lacking religion, moral beliefs, or a few brain cells? I think all that Vodka and Rum killed a few brain cells of theirs. Pity. They could have been people who don’t need to resort to such lies to masks their true selves.

So why did I decide to discuss this? Well, umm, because I met the most hypocritical people on earth who preached for me to be a better Muslim, because I don’t wear the hijab and their sisters and mothers do, and not knowing that other non Muslims see them in their true form and they talk about it ever so openly. Because non-Muslims talk about these things normally, and they are not going to not mention or hide who they saw or who they hang out with. You know, let’s not be stereotypical here, but even Arabs do this to them selves. It’s like gossip 101. Once they know someone who does anything sinful they blabber it to the entire world faster then Reuters.

Arabs who are Muslim by name tend to make a cult. They do things together that are obviously sinful, and they hide it together not knowing that the entire world can see them. Yet, they think it is ok to preach to others about religion because they can’t openly discuss that drinking and night clubs are great, and can’t invite you openly or even discuss it with you unless they “saw” you there and then they realize you are one of them. What kind of messed up mentality is that?

Practice what you preach or don’t preach at all you damn fools. Yes, I cursed you to hell you morons.

I don’t get it. I even ask those people this all the time. “If you drink and do other stuff, why don’t you just eat pork and not ask for halal food?” Something about eating pork drives them away, but drinking is ok. God I am confused and need some sustenance. If chocolate ever becomes sinful in another life, then I will be destined to hell too!

Random Thoughts, Ranting as usual!, They said what?

I haven’t posted anything about Squibby in a long time. After we were deported to the new small ass office, Squibby’s energy level had increased ten fold. Not to mention the sudden growth spurt! However, I got one gold fish left and I named it “Nibbled.” I used the past tense of the word nibble because eventually Squibby will nibble on it and become his feast. Oh the day when the massacre will occur. I know I won’t be there to see it, but I am thinking of installing a web cam to always watch!

If you don’t know who Squibby is then I shall introduce the little fella again. Squibby is the awesome bastard of a turtle that I have at work. He is a bastard because he never knew his father and his mother sold him to the pet store for pennies. He lives beside my desk, and has his own rock view of everything. Squibby watches over the lab and he is waiting to grow more to eat Nibbled. I try to feed him as much as I can so he will become a fat bastard and the massacre will occur sooner. I am really tired of that fat gold fish. It will eventually die, so it might as be someone’s dinner.
