I feel like crying

By: Mona
.......................

I think my life is meaningless. I can honestly say that if I put everything I have ever achieved as an individual into perspective than I have not accomplished anything. I don’t even know why at times I am still alive or what my purpose in this life is. I am 27 and I feel I have not done anything in my life. I used to have grand plans all laid out for me to follow, and nothing I ever wanted to do was accomplished. Then I see other people that have everything that I ever wanted, and think to my self, “why not me? What haven’t I done right?”

I always thought that life is completely unfair, but I just kept my mouth shut and just went to sleep every night hoping that maybe, just maybe tomorrow I can have something to look forward to. I have nothing anymore. I kept trying, kept praying, kept hoping that maybe, just some day life will be better. I just feel that I am kept being pushed down more and more.

I just want to cry and feel sorry for my self. No one ever cried and felt sorry for me, so at least I am doing something for my self.

Aha, You are not alone, I am 46and people think I am an accomplished IR, but not me. I am sure majority of us think we have not accomplished anything but I think this should be viewed by others not urself. what I learned few yrs back to when u introspect on ur accomplishements, gauge it by the factor by which you may have helped others. Another thing is to make ur wishes realistic. I once wanted to own an island and ayacht but now happy to have a family and two daughters. Remeber how would you liked to be remebered 50 yrs from now

Welcome to my world, but I keep telling myself that I just need to try harder, and I do.

Cheer up, and if you have a friend to talk to, talk to him/her :)

Sweetheart, life does seem this way from time to time. The world seems to getting to be a lonelier place to be all the time. You have accomplished a whole heck of a lot more than you may realize right now. Go and ask your parents and sister what you’ve accomplished…I bet you they will list a bunch of things you never even thought of.

And, hon, I will cry for you, but I won’t feel sorry for you..coz you are an amazing soul: bright, energetic, vibrant, and so funny. Love you tons, even though I only know you through this here bloggie of yours…really, I do love you. I hope you have a better day today (when you read this), inshaAllah.

    “Why not me?”
    Not your time.

    “What haven’t I done right?”
Kissed a certain persons ass to get something easily.

It’s like a flower blooming, you can’t force it to happen, it unfolds on it own. Having patience isn’t fun, but it makes it worth it in the end.

You are not alone. I feel the exact same way.

But do know that in theory all life could be meaningless :???: If we are just a giant coincidence of gases and chemical reactions, then life really could have no meaning. If the universe is just a ball of matter that expands, then shrinks, then expands, over and over… then life could be meaningless. But if we were created by a higher being, life could still be meaningless. :-|

But we could be here for a meaning… I don’t follow any religion, but uhm…

Take the story of Adam and Eve (it’s simple, and was on the history channel the other day  ). Told not to eat the forbidden fruit, and we ate it. In a way that was like saying to God, “Whatever, I don’t need you to tell me what to do.”. So Adam and Eve were cast out onto Earth. Being cast unto Earth, could be God’s way of saying prove it. And that is what life could be, a way for us to show that we can do things on our own. :???:

Bottom line, no one knows what life is, how we got it or what its for. Anyone who says they know, is lying.

But you can’t feel sorry for yourself. You are still here because you have a will to live, this is evident in your desire to stand out, to be something. If you had no drive to continue, if you folded everytime something didn’t go in your favor, you wouldn’t be here right now. Trust me, I know and knew some people like that.

As for life getting better. Life for yourself can be better at any minute, but better is a very vague term.

You have to remember that the way the world is now, is not the way it should be. The people in charge have no true power, they are not God. They have no power over you, and cannot make you do something you don’t want to do.

And Life as a whole will be better only when humans, as a species, grow up. And if you want to help me figure out how to do that, by all means help me! :lmao: I’d love to find the answer.

And who said life was the end? This could be a little “stress test” of sorts. Think, as an artist or as if you were God, would you want to show the best of your creation or the worst? Sometimes you can make something (people) and it may defective parts (assholes), well, this test will put the defective parts into the right bin (hell), while the rest of us in a display case (heaven).

I really hope you are REALLY open minded. I tend to offend a lot of sensitive people be freely thinking and speaking. I’m really into figuring all this stuff out… it’s kinda exciting.

Suggestion, maybe?: A Spell Checker would be awesome for the comments. But I don’t know anything about blogs.

*Holy Crap!* Put this in Word and it was two pages long  And I WAS going to bed…

    I’m done. :whee:

Poor little girl, I felt sorry for you and you sound so depressed, but the thing is you can’t sit around hoping for something to change you have to make the change yourself and I’m sure you know that and things will be brighter when you wake up… i care

Your a victim of society. You think you should be doing all these unimportant things that everyone else is doing. Your a individual and most of this crap people do and talk about is shit.

“You don’t know what you’ve got till its gone” is something I never understood till I lost everything I never knew I had. I know your thinking “Then why tell me this! Ill not know till its all gone” which is true… But saying you do not know why your alive wont fix a thing. You could do anything if you really wanted too.

I feel like that all the time and yes, I cry quite a bit too. I have come to realize the things that matter are not material things or having a great career but the relationships you have with other people in this life and what you do to make this world a better place while you are here. Nobody on his or her deathbed will ever say, “gee I should have spent more time at the office.” You are not going derive self-fulfillment from a job so don’t even try going down that road. All you will end up doing is banging your head on your desk in frustration. There is nothing fulfilling about making someone else wealthy.

Wow – every day this is a real emotional rollercoaster! Sadly, I’ve learned that you don’t drink so all my advice I’m afraid is powerless here.
Life has a funny way of working out sometimes I’m afraid. Have a good cry if you think it will help but afterwards clean yourself, get out into the beautiful day we are having and try to have a laugh!
You seem like a nice person and the fact that I’m the 7th person to comment in the last 9 hours means you have a lot more than most. Cheer up sunshine and if I can do anything – well, I’m happy to do whatever I can.

the fact of the matter is everyone is chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow…

    it isn’t there!!

i have talked to countless people who have ‘the life’ by societies definition and are very unhappy.

they get their nice shiny car, and they think people will notice…no one does! no one wants to see you succeed either. so realise this, get over it within yourself, and realise that your happyness is not over the hill and far away, but that it is simply a matter of how you make yourself feel day to day.

become an expert in making yourself feel good.

    Oli
