I know it sounds very cliché, but with all those millions of people around this Earth, believe me, you are never alone! Even when you believe you're alone you're not.
I suggest you try something new, why not take a yoga class or try meditation? Or try Qi-Gong or why not Aikido?
Hugs, and remember: No one expects the spanish inquisition!

Hi Mona,

This is one of the things I suffer with. I lay in bed just think and then thinking "STOP THINKING" and never sleep. Sometimes I am not even 100% if i did sleep or not.

What your getting in the day sounds like panic attacks. People get different symptoms so not everyone is alike. I get a tight thought and am sometimes sick with mine... I also find it hard to get outside sometimes.

You can go on meds to fix it... They are not as scary as everyone makes out and they have helped me so much! I think you have some issues that will only get worse if you do not fix them. I don't think me saying "Contact me and we can talk" will do anything as you wont. Your like me and find it hard to talk one on one (I think).

Good luck :) use your blog to talk about things like me :) It is better than any therapy I could get.

As Ahmed said, you are experiencing a stress related illness. You need to take action and try to change your life for the better. I don't think a weekend at the spa is going to cut it. It is only a band-aid solution. You need to change jobs and you need to get out and socialize with people around your own age in a non-academic setting. Many people go to bars and clubs even though they don't drink. That is one way of meeting other people. I would be on the look out for social gatherings to go to and don't just pick only Arab ones to go to. Cast your net a little wider than that. You would be surprised at what friends you would get. It is a big wide world out there and I am sure there are people out there that would love to have you as their friend.

I have days where I wake up freezing too. Only I tend to turn blue (seriously, like a violet-blue mix) when it happens, and I think its really freakin' cool!

"I think I need something to completely calm me down. Coffee this morning didn’t..."

 I wouldn't expect pure caffiene to calm you down! But yeah you can get headaches from it, your brain actually starts to depend on it. You just have to ween yourself off of it. I had a headache problem with chocolate (fukkin Reese Cups!) and the first week, maybe two, you are gonna feel like crap. But after that the headaches will stop and relapse can take effect!

Dr. Ahmed said:

Dear Mona, you are not physically ill, you're stressed out .
Seriously, you must be mentally exhausted, and I assume you're hot tempered, and you maybe have been keeping it inside for a while, now its coming out on your body and your physical health.

You need a stress-free vacation.
