A lucid argument

By: Mona

One thing about me is that I love to argue for any reason or for no reason. I just want to prove that I am right, and since I suffer from an unsympathetic bluntness disease, then I know my powers are great, and I suffer the consequences with my head high and still the winner!

One person that I love to fight with is my sister. Oh how much I love the little brat, but I have to be 10 times better than her in any argument because she has a very sharp tongue. She learned the skills of arguing back to survive the atrocity, which happens to me.

My sister has an obsession with going to the gym, so I signed her up with me. She loves to go like every day! And if there is a day that I say I don’t feel like going, she would start whining and saying, “why?” I say, “no reason, I don’t feel like it!” She then reiterates and says, “why???” That argument never ends till the day ends and I am about to go to sleep.

Frankly, I got tired of the whys and started making up excuses like, “my head hurts, my feet hurts, look at my eyes, does it look like I can go anywhere?” She caved in to these answers because they were “valid” reasons.

Until yesterday, when her tongue was sharp as a sword, and I couldn’t stand it anymore. My sister is very grouchy in the morning, unlike me, where I prefer mornings and despise afternoons. So I wanted to piss her off. I started by saying, “I am going to cancel the gym membership.”

She said, “for you?”

I said, “no, for you and me.”

She said, “what? You mean for you, not me. I don’t want to quit.”

I said, “well, I don’t want to pay for it anymore.”

She then got up from the couch crying and ran to mom and screamed, “MONA WANTS TO CANCEL THE GYM MEMBERSHIP!!!”

Mom then got mad and said to her, “don’t worry, your father will pay for it! You can go alone!”

I sat on the couch with my legs crossed and a huge grin. She looked at me like I was her biggest enemy on the face of this earth and she was ready to kill me with her bare hands.

Dad then came into the room and she started whining to him about what I said. He said, “don’t worry about it. Mona is lying.”

She then looked at me and said, “I HATE YOU! YOU HAVE PROBLEMS!!”

I said, “yah, your point?

Few minutes passed with silence …

After that I just started to scream at her for just sitting there and told her to get off her ass so we can go to the gym. She said, “NO! I TAKE MY TIME! UNLIKE YOU!”

I said with a very angry tone, “GET DRESSED NOW OR I AM LEAVING WITHOUT YOU!!”

She then started screaming and said, “you need to go to a psychologist! Seriously, and ENROLL IN ANGER MANAGEMENT CLASSES!! YOU NEED HELP!”

I said, “yah… it all started cause of you you ungrateful brat! You will be sorry for your big mouth and your constant demands!”

Mom then told her to get dressed and shut up.

I wonder what I will do to her next to piss her off.

    :lmao:

It is so much fun to have a sibling! And it works both ways too, my sis has started crap with me as much as I have with her. Its like a competition to outdo each other, and in the end only strenghtens the bond.

It’s whenever they become teenagers that arguing gets really fun.

If you always want to prove that you’re right then how can you open up your mind to perspectives other than yours. Wouldn’t this limit your potential for growth.

Open my mind to my sister’s? She is 14.5 years younger than me. I love arguing with her and proving I am right. :P It doesn’t happen quite often with adults!
