I am home sick. I have been sick and sniffly all day. I had an odd morning, and I just got more and more sick as the day passed. Yesterday wasn’t any better. I go to work now a days just sitting there counting the minutes till I leave. I actually stare at the phone’s clock cause it is more accurate than my laptop. (Accurate as in one minute ahead!)
I am causing my self daily migraines and hate of what I do in life. I feel I am trapped in a never ending battle of this thing called work. I don’t think I hated my self and this job as much as I have the past 3 weeks. It became unbearable. I used to love it. I used to wake up every morning in a hurry to just go to work and do great things and have an objective. Now, I got nothing. I am just getting paid to just count the minutes to go home. It is frustrating. I feel I am cheating my self and I am earning money for nothing.
I was seriously considering last week to resign from my job. I was at the edge and I couldn’t stand it anymore. I even thought that if I took a vacation than I would have to go back to the same thing again. So it was pointless. I wanted to detach my self from that place so badly. I even had a resignation letter prepared. (This is what happens when you don’t sleep.)
Yesterday and today were one of those edgy days. I couldn’t even eat. I have no joy in anything and I just want to cry. I think I am slowly loosing my patience and my sanity, or whatever is left of them.

That whole post is pretty much my life.
Everyday, life sucks… The whole world is broken, I hate school, and don’t want to get a job, just to make f***in’ money… the next batch of presidents are gonna be a downward spiral from Bush, yes it will get worse, the “War on Terrorism” will possibly reach America itself in 1-2 years after running through Africa, economy will hit the ground and riots will break out, gangs are gonna start taking control when they can… thats pretty much just America, and like it or not whatever happens here will spill into the world. China was pissed after we shot down one of their satelites, Korea is pissed because America calls it evil and lies to them… eh, I’m told it’s life but I’m sure a certain someone out there had something else in mind
I’m spending a weekend on a island (Cape Lookout to be exact) away from the bull**** media, maybe the world will grow up by Monday, but probably not.
Just don’t let it get to you. Something’s gotta give soon. Someone, somewhere will add a catalyst towards the final days. When the a**holes are gone, life will move on, though if I have anything to do with it, things will be VERY different from now.

Mona, the term “loosing” ought to have one ‘o’ only. You’ve abused it enough
You know? I am seriously concerned you may develop blood pressure disease at some point… please find a way out of this cycle. Wa7yat Allah, if you were a stock market I won’t risk a single penny. Haram 3alaik.

Yikes.
Well, what can be said?

As far as the job goes I know exactly how you feel right now. I find myself doing the same, watching the clock, trying to get through the day and feeling guilty about getting paid for it.
I’m not where I want to be in life, but I can’t seem to do anything about it at the moment. In a perfect world I’d quit my job, work on my own projects and be making my own money. I have a Business Administration degree, but I’m not even using it. I’m stuck in a job doing something I love, but doing it for a place/position I hate.
If you can come up with a clear vision, plan and have the money to support yourself until you feel you can achieve it; I don’t see quitting your job as a completely bad thing to do. Don’t do it “just to be free”, do it to get to where you want to be in life.

Stumbled across this and had to post.
A few years ago in my last job I felt much the same. I was regularly physically sick on Sunday evenings because I knew I’d have to go to work the next day. Eventually I did hand the resignation letter to my boss and I although I haven’t regretted it I now think there may have been an alternative.
I don’t know what the healthcare system is like over there but you may want to see your doctor because you may be suffering work related stress. And if you are there may be some way to actually combat it before it drives you completely crazy.

I am going to reply to one person here, ARKAN!
Excuse me Mr? If you have a problem with my spelling or grammar or whatever, then email it to me. I find your criticism about the stupidest things sometimes very annoying. I wonder sometimes why you come to my site. Is it just to find stupid things to criticize about??????
(5 extra pointless ? marksssss.. with extra “s”!)
If you got a problem then EMAIL ME! Any other pointless comments will not be approved anymore.
My blood pressure is rising now from you and other people’s comments that I didn’t bother to approve. You people seriously need to put your self in my shoes for one minute and see how I feel. You people are either heartless or just plain stupid.

Hey Mona come on, he wasn’t criticizing, he just pointed out a spelling mistake… don’t make a big deal out of it, cause its not. Calm down for a second.
And don’t quit your job unless you find a better one, one that you won’t be hating for a while. And to be honest, staying for 6 years in one job wasn’t the best choice you’ve made. I think you’re the type of person that always needs change, so go on with you job hunt and I hope you find something better.
Anyways what about the new boss? Isn’t he doing anything to make this place better for you guys? I told you, he seems lenient, own him!! Haha

Moe Sam - please… this is not the first time.. so don’t worry about what I say to other people. I know it wasn’t a big deal, but I was sick of it. To me the stupid little nonsense that people say is what pisses me off.
New boss by the way is a clueless man. He does nothing. He doesn’t even talk to any of us unless he wants something. Sometimes I spend days not seeing him. Great management style!
