Provided the pay is good, sounds to me like you have the perfect job.

If nothing else, you can improve your skills to get one more to your liking rather than “doing nothing”.

I agree. I was in a job for many months and had nothing to do. I created my own work which could have been anything from sharpening pencils to resorting my files in some order.

It is ok for the first few weeks… but then you feel worthless.

Let me put this straight and for everyone to hear it. My blog is NOT for anyone to sympathize with me. I didn’t ask for any sympathy. My blog is my journal. My diary. That’s it. No one else’s. I just choose to make it public and allow people to comment. As for employers that don’t obey labour laws, then well, it is the employee’s fault for not looking out for what is their own right. As for highly educated people working at min job. I agree. I know a lot, and I sympathize with them. But if they are doing it for years and just “accepting” their situation, then they have major problems.

Believe me. People may think I have it good. Sure. I got a job and it pays well, but I don’t have any pride or honour in it anymore. It is unrewarding and I don’t work just to get a pay cheque. I want a career!
