Quarter life crisis

By: Mona
.......................

When I was in my teens I knew people who were older than me and they kept telling me that being in your 20′s is probably the best or worst thing you can ever go through.

I say it is the worse.

Why is life so complicated when we are in our 20′s?

Life is not complicated at all, but we make it complicated because we are young adults trying too hard to shape our lives, our careers, and try to be part of society and make a name for our selves.

How do we solve our problems?

We don’t solve our problems, instead, we create another problem to cover the first one. We think that two wrongs can make a right, but life does not work that way at all.

How do we deal with problems?

Most of us in this age group are quite irrational thinkers and we try to solve problems now. Now is not the way to go about things. We live in such a fast paced society that is making us act this way.

Why are we so emotional?

I noticed most people in my age group are not only emotional, but hysterical at times. We are emotional for various reasons. We want to get married, find a perfect career, have a perfect house, have perfect neighbors, and even have perfect children. The problem with us that we look back a generation of our parents and think, well, they did it, why can’t we? Has life changed so much that the gap between thinking and the outcomes we strive for are so far apart?

I am just tired. I keep thinking and thinking and wondering why my life turned out this way. I had such different view points and future dreams when I was 21 or 22. Now, I don’t even think of tomorrow because I don’t know what to expect anymore.

I agree with you, I am just turning 21 in a few months and it seems like this past year and a half I have been overly emotional, and really worried about alot of things going on. Whether school, work, girlfriend, social life, etc! It’s like I can’t relax and enjoy anything for more than five minutes without my mind coming back to get the best of me!!

Very interesting reading the “Who I Like” blog also, helps to reevaluate myself haha!!

    Thanks
    N.C.K.

Take it easy, Mona– you’re talking more like a teenager rather than twenty seven year old…As it’s said, there are no crisis in life only opportunities. And if this sounds cliche then remember, you don’t have any other choice…Cheers!

“We don’t solve our problems, instead, we create another problem to cover the first one”

vv true from 26 years old girl, in ur 20′s everyone keeps telling u that these are ur best days and u have to live them as u can but..

u keep wondering about wishes, dreams about joys and right choices and then u discover what???

that life chooses u not u who do the choice

nice wonders and thoughts, i love it !!

I am glad you liked them.. people have to understand that we wonder about so many things. Because we talk about them and discuss them, doesn’t mean we are like teenagers whining.. This is life, and this is how we feel.

I will be turning 40 in September and already having a mid-life crisis. I WISH I was in my 20′s! Have the wisedom earned through years of backbreaking work and worries but with youth still on my side.
