The day that I resigned
.
I resigned my job today. I drove the idiot insane this morning. First, I emailed him asking how many vacation days that I have. He told me 13 days. I said, “no no. My old boss said that I have accumulated a lot more than that from last year. Check again!” So he did, and I have 28 days!
So I resigned! I am done in the end of August, and I am taking all my vacation days starting September till the beginning of October. I sent the resignation letter to the CEO and secretary so there won’t be any problems or any what? You can’t do that. Screw this place. I have never ever been happier in my life! Today is the day my friends.. today we celebrate! 3 weeks to go!
I also requested to purchase the laptop I am currently using too.
Why did I resign? I got tired. I have no plans. I am just going to sit and do nothing! I want to clear my mind and do nothing.
Man.. I feel relieved. Time to celebrate. Mabrouk (congrats) to me people! Yay!!

R-E-S-P-E-C-T for Mona!!! Haha! Well, I did the same in october last year. The feeling when you resign is ammazing, no? I guess it’s something you really had to do. Why would you continue when you’re sick of it all?
Of course I had some comments from friends and family: ‘are you stupid? What about money? Who’s gonna pay the rent, … bla bla bla…’
But what about my mental health when I would continue, I replied. Life is just too short to spend 8 hours a day in a shithole office and working for a dumm-ass boss!
Now go on and celebrate Mona! You deserve it. Cheers!

MMMAAABBBRRROOOKKK
*jumping up and down*
Good for you!!
*shake shake*
Congrats!
*yay!*
:woot:
Wow. It’s about time! No need to work somewhere that is hurting you unless you absolutely have to be employed. Relax. Recharge. Refocus – and work towards something that you can enjoy.
*singing a song*
Mabrouk and good luck
U found a new job?
No. Didn’t you read the post? I said I am doing nothing!
So let me get this straight you are going to take all your vacation days and then you’re quitting your job afterwards?! As for the doing nothing bit, good luck to you on that one. It is not as easy as it sounds. Being a slacker is an art form that takes some mastering. I should know I’ve been perfecting it for years!
Yep.. I finish my actual work in the end of August, and taking my vacation days afterward before my actual work term (contract) ends.
Very brave, I’d be scared to quit before I found a new job.
:whee:
yess! MABROOK!
I hope you find the perfect job soon!
I don’t have any plan to get a job soon. I want to do nothing!
hahahah ur so funny Mona…i wish i was in the position to quit my job lol. I hate office work, first of all it makes you fat.. and second of all, you sit and do nothing and your getting paid for it. I say, you should go back to school and get a masters…
I am actually gonna take some project management courses for fun. Just to keep my head in that area.
oh yea that would be great..they have some good programs at Ryerson.
yess! MABROOK!
I hope you find the perfect job soon!

Best wishes for your future Mona. With your skills you do not need to worry about finding better work in future, you did the right thing by making yourself free. You will come across many jobs that are badly paid and might demand a lot so might make it seem your old job was better, but don’t worry about these, less desirable offers are always the most plentifull in all markets. Keep looking for something suitable for you, but most of all make the best of your free time, time is the most valuable thing we have.
