Word of the day: Insanity.

I am obviously not normal. If I was, I wouldn’t have a blog at all and just sit and do nothing and let someone else do the thinking for me. (Like that would ever happen.) Anyways, suddenly, out of no where, I think of a word, and I want to look up the meaning and how the world perceives that word. Why was it used? How it is used?

I thought of the word: insanity. (For obvious reasons.)

I didn’t look up the meaning in a dictionary because I obviously know what it means. So I clicked on Wikipedia because it provides more of a historical meaning, and this is the first line of the idea behind insanity.

Traditionally, insanity or madness is the behaviour whereby a person flouts societal norms and may become a danger to himself and others.

Oh how I loved this sentence. Let’s analyze it. First, they start off the sentence with “traditionally.” Is insanity a traditional behavior? Duh! Read some history, especially about the greatest leaders in history. Were they insane? You cannot be a leader unless you are 100% insane! It’s a known tradition!

Secondly, which is the best part of the whole sentence, “[insanity is a] behaviour whereby a person flouts societal norms … ” I read that and I was like wow! That’s me! I guess now I can change my site’s name from Rebellious Arab Girl, to Insane Arab Girl. They both mean the same. I FLOUT SOCIETAL NORMS!

Lastly, the final part of the sentence states: “[an insane person] may become a danger to himself and others.” Well, let’s not get into details, but yeah. That’s what happens when you are insane. You end up harming your self because you think that everyone else in the world is wrong, and you are right. It’s a mental problem, I have to admit that.

Anyways, what other words are out there that describe me and my site? Hmm… I will look up another one another day. I love words. All filled with 102319020918 meanings!

P.S. Yes, I am insane. Half the crap that I have written on here is pure B.S and only an insane person would write. But, maybe only an insane person would read it as well! Have you ever thought of that possibility? Eh?
