Ahaahaha I died laughing when I saw this on tv, mostly cuz it was so out of the blue. I was bored flipping through the channels looking for something to watch and all of a sudden I flip to CNN right as the guy is throwing the shoe at Bush Lmaooo. This is soo something my mom would want to do if she ever saw him.
I wish it would have hit him. Sometimes I think to myself how did such a stupid man become president of the United States. The good thing is he will be out of office in less than a month!
I don’t care for Bush but I wouldn’t undignify myself either by doing that. Now if we could find a shoe store to go after the insurgents who killed innocent Iraqis. They cannot go unscathed either.
Too bad the shoe didn’t hit him. Like another commenter stated, should have been a brick, but then again I don’t think would have done much damage. Can’t knock much sense into someone that doesn’t have something between ears except for air.
I think what the Iraqi journalist did was PERFECT!!! Not too dangerous to go to jail for life, but just dangerous enough that made that man duck and cover and face one of the biggest embarrassments just as his term was coming to an end!!! PERFECT!!! Dude’s face was red as hell! “It doesn’t bother me”, Bush said. HAA yeah it did!
this journalist is going to be in the history books and wouldn’t be suprised if he ended up being a future PRESIDENT OF IRAQ someday. Insha Allah soon!
Salam … me
BBC had his brother on last night, said he had a broken arm and some sort of damage to his thigh, and even possible vision impairment due to glass being in his eye…so…not good
I can relate to this ! , I’ve heard some goody things about this blog ! I bookmarked it on my favorites and will visit it again for more interesting posts like this one, Thanks
@ Ohio Realtor – in Arab/Muslim cultures, being referred to as a “kalb” or dog, is actually very much degrading, considering that in those cultures a dog is considered an unclean, filthy animal (although I personally disagree on that to an extent), so I guess for the “shoe-throwing” guy, a Kalb is just as low as you can go to calling someone.
I personally think the incident was unnecessary. It didn’t do much damage to Bush, as it did to the poor bloke. He could be in prison for at least 2 yrs by Iraqi law, due to him insulting a visiting diplomat.
wouldnt have done any better
Lol he did well to dodge the shoes
He deserved it. For all he did to disrupt world peace. I think he may have deserved a size 14 shoe… if it exists.
@UmmeAaiman – there is size 16 or 17 or 18. Some guys have big feet.
Well, at least the journalist wasn’t a shoe-bomber … or perhaps that should be damn, the journalist wasn’t a shoe-bomber!
(I know, playing the Arab stereotype there, but I couldn’t resist it).
Bush can be sure now that he brought democracy to Iraq!!!
Loooool, he deserves more than that, but it’s still a good start.
That’s how some of us Americans would do it, too. But we wouldn’t miss. lol
Freedom of expression …
That’s the result of liberating and democratizing nations.

Luckily it’s not a brick.
I can see I’m going to enjoy this blog. Who knew GW was an athlete?
that person should have used something a little more dangerous…… like a grenade.
AUSTRALIA FTW. OBAMA FTW. ANARCHY FTW!
if only it would have been a shoe BOMB!
either way, i want to buy this guy a beer
The funny part is that the guy was a government journalist I think. So he was not any ordinary man with ordinary power.

My mother keeps watching this video over and over again on YouTube. lol
anyone knows what happen to that journalist after that?
@ nakaturi,
BBC had his brother on last night, said he had a broken arm and some sort of damage to his thigh, and even possible vision impairment due to glass being in his eye…so…not good
@Matt Oxley – that was all from a shoe?
@ mona
My guess is that it was the Secret Service and Iraqi police that caused most of that damage.
Kalb! I would think Hamar would be a better choice… but it’s still appropriate…
