People out there just don’t want to understand the truth

By: Mona
.......................

I have been quiet about the bloodshed in Gaza the past, because the more I talked about it, the more I felt my heart was being squeezed to death. I couldn’t watch anymore dead children. It’s not right.

This week there was a plane crash in the Hudson Bay in NY of a huge civilian air plane. Everyone survived. However, this was the first thing that people asked, “was it a terrorist attack? Are the children ok?”

Why can’t the Western media have a heart to those kids in Gaza? What did a 4 year old do to deserve this?

Poll

I started a poll over a week or so ago about who started the war in Gaza. And so far, many people are truthful in knowing who the guilty party is.

The poll is still open:

More videos

I got this video from a Jewish man that lives in the US, and he is spreading his view points on Twitter of his discontent with what Israel is doing.

I saw the video and it was exactly how I felt, and how every Palestinian felt. The world does not understand and they refuse to understand. 1300 people died in Gaza, and over 5000 injured. Yet, the world is saying that Hamas needs to stop firing rockets and killing Israelis? So it is wrong for Palestinians to attack back? It is wrong for them to defend themselves? It seems to be. Because 13 Israelis died and only 2 or 3 were civilians that were killed from a bunch of stupid rockets. The world is going crazy cause of that! Yet, Israel is using white phosphoric weapons. Is that ok? Where is the justice? What is right and what is wrong? Really? Who is right and who is wrong?

I still believe that this world is run by a carnival of idiots, and we just sit and watch.

A Liberal Viewpoint

I found these videos on YouTube from a group called, The Young Turks. I thought they were reasonable. They were justified and well thought of. When you see and research both sides of the story, then your non-biased viewpoint is a bit more believable.

In Gaza Conflict – Which Side Is Using Human Shields?

Israel Strikes a UN Facility – Is it Intentional?

Now Israel said that it has called a cease fire. Let’s see how long that will last.

It is a harsh question, but do you think Hamas are good for the Palestinians?

That is not to say, if Hamas are bad for the Palestinians, then Israel is right to bomb the crap out of Gaza.

Ok, so after abstaining the last time from voting… I voted this time (yes, I am a hypocrite)

I voted for other Arab nations because at no point have they jumped in the middle and tried to stop the two from fighting. Not now, not in the past, and the good money says not in the future.

It’s a shame that the centre of the world – the region where culture, intelect, civilization originated from…. the Arabs are watching their own being distroyed, and don’t have the balls to do anything about it.

Sadly, many don’t pay attention to what is going on outside of their own world, especially in the US. The events with Gaza may be on the other side of the Earth, but affect all of us.

I’m glad I have Aljazeera on my cable, otherwise, I’ll be stuck watching biased reports. Now reports are trickling in of the atrocities committed on the hapless civilians. Bulldozing homes with people inside is barbaric. Or telling people to gather at a certain building only to shell it later. Israel never ratified the Rome statute that would put them under the power of the ICC. What really angers me is how Rgev and Leibovich can lie through their teeth in denying that civilans are not being targeted but reports coming from the UN personnel in Gaza says otherwise. Slowly, Gazans are discovering hundreds of bodies buriied in the rubble. It is time that Israel be made accountable.

About the human shields I wonder why Israel does not evacuate the civilian populations of Sderot and other civilian areas that are being hit by rockets. There are so few people there. If the purpose of all their operations over the last few weeks was to protect civilian populations why not move the few people in the line or fire out of the way? The rockets mainly fall in a known area which is lightly populated. Nobody in the media has answered this question. After all, anyone with money has all ready fled the line of fire. Why not move out the poor as well?

The civilians of Gaza seem to be struggling to run from the IDF, but there is nowhere to go. So my second question is why not let the Palestinians take shelter in the Sinai Peninsula? Again, since the rocket range is so short, nobody in the Peninsula could hit Israel so there would be less civilian casualties.

The media never even asks the simplest of questions. It is completely useless to learning.

I thought that the pictures of using people, literally, as human shields was disgusting.

“It’s very clear, that while they shell and pound and kill and destroy Palestinian people and their institutions with total impunity, they are putting enormous pressure on the Palestinians, on their victims, to calm things down and not to respond and not to react.”
