Review thy masterpiece
By: Mona
.......................
I have been getting many comments lately from visitors about my site. People like it, don’t like it, want it a bit different, etc.
What do you think? Do you have something to say about my site? What needs to be improved or changed written wise and website aesthetic wise? I would like to know. I like opinions.
So, open forum. Tell me what you think about my masterpiece of a site.

Love it, hate the ads.
@Moey
The ads pay the bills my friend!
I think the previous design suited ur site much more than this one. But I’m not saying that this one is not good. This one is also good.
@Rahul
I just think you don’t like the girly look!
I like your site a lot. I did just now discover there is a whole other part on the right side, it didn’t show up on my screen. Oh and the pictures of those cookies look really good. Were they made from scartch?
@Lela
You must be using a screen resolution that is less than 1024×768. Jeez. You need a new monitor. And the cookies of course I made them from scratch. They are the best cookies on earth!
@Mona
well won’t you share the recipe? lol

Enjoy!
Thanks!
Hey Mona, u spoke for myself
No, actually speaking for myself, i think the previous design was better one.
The blog layout is excellent!
The 2 things which would be cool would be – hyperlinking the top banner to the home page.
The comment checkbox thing (sorry, I am a stuck record, but the page takes aaaaaggggeeeessss to load on a blackberry
). This is now introduced as a standard feature on wordpress blogs, so hopefully, whoever wrote the original app has fixed it by now @:)
@Cookie Monster
Getting email notification will not benefit you at all because you reply to my comments anyways. So either way, you have to go on my site. Maybe just use a PC
Don’t use blackberry to load my page!
Also, I have been trying to get a plugin to work. None of them worked. Even the generically made up ones that allow subscription to comments. Nothing. I am just going to wait till they come up with a newer version for stand alone wordpress.
I like the page a great deal. It has been fun to read, and it has given me a different perspective on the recent conflict in Gaza. It made the suffering more real and much sadder. Overall, I think that this is a good thing as it brought me more in touch with reality. Usually war on TV is too abstract for me to relate to as I have no family at war and no experience with it. I think it is wrong to portray war as a video game as it makes war unreal and us more callous.
Well I like it. Centering the content helped, and I especially like the avatar, but I’ve said that before. However, I’m not much of a graphic designer, rather a DB and app server type … JBoss is fun.
It’s almost perfect! I like the idea that you are wearing same earrings like the avatar. CREATIVE!!!
Yeah it’s a masterpiece! :up:
About content, well, it’s YOUR blog, you say whatever you wanna say…
About the design, I’m just glad you finally centered the page, because that huuuuge space on the right was weird.
Perfect!
Make the right columns a little bigger to better center the ads.
I love it, this is what I recommended – centre it.
I don’t like the posts being off to the left side of the page. I just find it weird. I prefer the main content being centered and the ads on either side of it. I like your graphics and your choice of colours and of course most of what you post to your blog.
I fixed the site as much as I can. It’s smaller. Even small resolutions will work with it, and that’s all I can do!
I find your site refreshing, and interesting to read.
You might have a take on things that come from a different perspective than my own politically, and which I might even disagree with, but I am interested to hear those perspectives. Also, it’s clear that you are an independent thinker who has her own opinions. I think you try to write as an individual voice, not adhering to a scripted agenda, and not just putting out your own ideals as propaganda. (Believe me – PLENTY of bloggers do!)
And the posts that are not political are just as interesting. I mean what is the greater purpose of the “information age” and cyberspace than to learn about people who come from a different place – be it geographically, ethnically, religiously, emotionally, gender, age, etc. – than we come from ourselves?
Love it – great design and style of writing. Would like to see some more controversial posts but that’s just my personal taste – how about more on how you’re a rebellious Arab girl?
