AS far as I am concerned I only network on these sites with people I am actually in contact with, professionally or privately, and in a positive way on top of it – which means I don’t have a bunch of “friends” there – and I sometimes remain weeks in a row without checking my page… Oh God how old-fashioned I am, I don’t seem to get it that we’re now living in the 21st century

I enjoyed the guest post.

I think that one can spend too much time online. Sometimes, though, there’s nothing better to do.

I will never have 500 friends or even half that online. I just don’t get social networking. I have a fantasy that I will do a lot of social networking and meet all the people in rl to do all the things I wanna do, but I find out meeting real people more easily.

I think that either way is legit. You can meet people in rl or not. It does not matter. Many people I know personally, I do not know in rl.

Also, there are people I do not want to be found by. So I have to hide somewhat, online, too.

I like being online and offline.

@jade oh believe me I didnt read the whole thing. Not even half way into it I was done. I dont have a problem I just typed what came first to my mind. Sorry sometimes I don't know when to keep my opinions to myself. @Mona I really never get bored from your posts thats why I always come back.

We are not far from turning into the people from WALL-E. In some respects the name “Social Networking” is the opposite of itself. Its removing the social interaction from the whole thing…

Its funny, were living in a age where we have not met most of our so called friends. And the ones we do know we spend less time with.

But then again, we are sitting here typing and moaning about it but are doing it ourselves.
