She keeps shocking me!

By: Mona
.......................

I don’t think I can handle anymore shocking statements coming out of her mouth!

My mom right now came into my tiny office and saw me writing in a notebook. I was writing a bunch of ideas that came to my head of possible projects to work on. I tend to write things down. Anyways, she saw me writing and said, “Are you writing a diary? You should write a book and sell it about your life. That’s what people are doing now a days.”

I almost fell off my chair and had a heart attack. My mom said WHAT?

She didn’t care if I wrote about my life. Oh my God! Should I tell her I have a blog and make pocket change from it? She would be ECSTATIC!

I couldn’t believe it. She wanted me to write a book about my life and sell it. Well then, plan B is going to be very interesting to study and implement. I wonder how many pages I have written so far through my blog. Hmm. 4 of 5 books worth?

Then I told her of my real plan and what I am writing, and she said, “Very interesting. Better than sitting there doing nothing all day!” Argh.. she instantly turned back to her motherly ways!

I am starting to like my mother’s modern mentality. This could be the beginning of something beautiful!

I’ve long thought you should write a book about your life using a diary type form. You are easy to read and people enjoy reading your postings.

There are books and stuff about it online and if all else fails you could always go the self publishing route.

I don’t think the idea is too bad. What about an ebook. As an easy-to-read version of your blog?

Actually – based on your recent posts, if you told your mom that you blogged and how well it is read – you will then be the talk of the town amongst her friends and your home visitors, and it will then become a new “issue” for discussion! :D
