Ay ay!! I totally forgot what I was suppose to remind people of yesterday like I did last year! And I thought I had nothing important to say. My God I need a new head, with a smaller nose and less round face. So, today is the official KISS ME I AM ARAB day. I made this day in retaliation to St. Patrick’s day. I think every culture should have a kissing day dammit. Why not Arabs? They only kiss in dark alleys and in their family’s old van’s backseat? Blah!
So, good thing I remembered and totally didn’t forget. I need to seriously one day look back into my archives and figure out all the inappropriate new Arab holidays I made up.
I know some people want an official t-shirt to buy, but maybe without a date. I thought about it, but I don’t recommend you wearing it in airports. Not even airports back home, or they think you are a perv!
However, if there is a high demand, I will re-open my t-shirt shop. Otherwise, let’s keep it a virtual t-shirt. Share this day with everyone!!

Well…I’m Irish, Scotts, English, French, Welsh and Irish with some native Canadian mixed in. They say Vikings invaded Ireland way back when, so there’s some Norse blood floating around in here as well.

hi mona ,, i like the way you write in and i like the spontaniousity with which you expres yourself , but to be honest , i couldnt understand the core of the issue ! i mean what are you implying ? what brought such an idea in your mind , and why should any culture -including arabs- have a kissing day ! arent the kisses in the other 364.25 days of the year quite enough ? i mean whether they were in public or in dark alleys and old van’s backseat !? i just like to know the thing you ment but didnt mention ..

The idea is not that complicated and no need to make it anymore. It’s for fun. Since in St. Patrick’s day, people wear shirts that says, “Kiss me I am Irish,” so I thought it would be funny to have a day just dedicated to kissing for Arabs. That’s all!

I have always thought the “kiss me I’m Irish” shirts to be strange like asking to be assaulted or something.
I wouldn’t go around kissing people of any nationality save for my wife, but I would say hello or whatever.
At any rate, I think that this is a good idea, and I hope it catches on.

The colour black to some people is the colour of mourning. Why not use orange or pink? It is more festive.
Although I am not Arab – I would buy this tshirt and wear it at airports… I love instigating trouble!
