The wardrobe

Google Buzz

Here is a question for ya peeps that I didn’t want to ask on Twitter:

Do you think girls or guys who buy only expensive pieces of clothing, no matter how much money they have or make or given, are too self conscience about their looks? And they would rather have people judge their attire than their physical appearance or personality? Is it healthy? Does it apply to certain people or most people?

What do you think? Please avoid long comments. Not many people read them or want to spend the time reading them.

I don’t judge other people by how they look.

There are two kinds of expensive clothing. One is value. Expensive clothing last longer. Two is taste. We usually buy from the thrift store b/c it fits in our budget. But we spend top dollar for suits and sports clothing when necessary.

No no.. I meant REALLY expensive. Stuff that costs 1000+ for every piece of clothing. Like celeb life but they are not celebs.

Well those people are brand whores and just want people to think they can afford designer items if they are really young and their parents just bought it for them. I guess you could say they are self-conscious in a way.

For the people who have the money to buy expensive clothes then it’s understandable. Most of them have way better quality.

For me, I buy a mixture of designer and cheap stuff. I don’t care about brand, all it matters is that I think the item looks good. The only thing I always spend more money on is jeans because I find designer jeans look way better and are more comfortable than regular jeans… luckily my obsession with designer jeans have died down a little so I’m not really buying anymore.

I think it’s more about how you were raised as a kid. Such things definitely have to do with the upbringing. If you are used to this then you can’t change it.

If someone judges me by the clothes that I wear then I certainly won’t think much of them.

I don’t judge someone by what they wear unless it’s tattered clothing with urine stains and then I give them help.

To answer part of your question, I think they can be too self-conscious. At the same time, I think that everyone need something that brings happiness into their life and perhaps this is there way. Are there better ways to bring happiness, sure. If they are relying on their clothing to bring respect, they may be surprise not to get it.

    Mona,

    You got a fan.

I was surprised why he asked me about cloths, which was least of my interest. And this time, i did not share any darn lecture. After checking on my email box, hahaha…

Lovely guy, but i had to tell him, girls of his age are more mature.

Then i went on to sing the song: Something to talk about

Total harmless dude, another thing, being intellectually critical is his turn on. Seems he is trying to find that cord in the conversation.

Man. Settle the issue between yourself. Outta here.

You absolutely make no sense. Who is he? Why did he ask you? Do you just act stupid sometimes and make up crap? Serious. You need to stop writing stuff on my site that makes no sense. You think it is funny or clever, but I don’t. So I suggest you stop commenting! If you do comment, read it 10 times and make sure that other normal human beings can understand it.

    Wow, you sound irritated.

True “my” message must has have not made complete sense. Assumed there would be rebuttal of some kind in different posts or something, so decided to monitor him. Yours the first, that has really sounded off!

I’ll have a talk with him. I think he had no right to use this id for any future conversation.

    Take care.

Note: How did the email id get subscribed? He said it happened automatically. I’m not so computer savy here. And now i don’t trust him. Can you unsubscribe the email id from your mail list please. Thanks.

I don’t know what you are talking about. I don’t know who “him” is. I don’t know at all what is going on here. All I know it has to stop. Maybe whoever you are stop using this name or email. You are subscribed to certain posts, not the entire site. Unless you did through my rss subscription, then you can unsubscribe your self.

Its a shame to have a troublesome brother.

From the previous mail messages, noticed you and someone recently commented on insensible messages. You had tolerated the comments why?

Let me say sorry for any inconvenience caused. But thank you for being nice as a person should be, when someone still persists to mail a girl.

I think rather, you had the right to block the user? Unsubscribe maybe, from the mailing list? Helping me is helping yourself in return too.

I don’t see any previous mail messages where the subscription was done. Where is the RSS fed?

Listen, I don’t have time for this. I suggest you stop commenting and forget my site. If you don’t know how to unsubscribe from the emails you have been getting from my site, then I can’t help you.

    Have a nice day.
