Hate is such a strong word

By: Mona
.......................

Google Buzz

I have decided that I need to share again some random visitor’s keyword searches and phrases. They are all from those that arrive to my site thinking they will get the “answer.” I will give them some answers alright! I could turn this to a monthly endeavor. Why not? So, what do I have in store for people today that I can share, but remain a decent well dignified honourable blog that your mother will be proud to read!?

The following are copy pasted search phrases from search engines to my blog, and my reply right under:

1. “how do you know if he wants a serious relationship”
He would definitely not visit this blog to find that answer.

2. “when a guy wants to make you happy”
Cliche answer, “he won’t make you ever cry!” My answer, “he will treat you like his equal!”

3. “capricorn man says he misses you”
Being a Capricorn my self, you need to believe the guy. We don’t utter a word unless we damn mean it!

4. “rebellious feeling psychological problem”
I am not sure exactly what they were searching for, but I do have that feeling all the time of being rebellious. I am not sure of any psychological problems that go along with it. However, I am sure some grad student out there is figuring that out right now!

5. “what woman should know about arab men”
Don’t even get me started on that one!

6. “what is aquarius not compatible with”
Definitely not compatible with a Capricorn. Total opposites! Stay away from us!

7. “how do you know they are the one”
Well, ask your self this, “can I stand the way this person treats others?”

8. “why do arab men keep everything from women”
Cause they are ashamed of their past, and the crap that they do every day that they know is wrong.

9. “arab men dont know how to make love”
Wow.. no comment!

10. “what arab people say about having a relation before marriage”
They say, “OH NO!! THEY ARE TALKING TO ONE ANOTHER AND KNOW EACH OTHER! THEY ARE DOING IT TO GET TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER! SINFUL!!! SINFUL!!!!”

11. “too many people are getting rebellious”
I KNOW! Copy cats!

12. “how do i know what arabs look like”
Well, we are kinda human like, with a bit of similar facial features to the rest of the world.

13. “i hate capricorns”
Why? What did we ever do to you AQUARIUS, PISCES, SAGITTARIUS and GEMINIS!

14. “what is wrong with rebellious arab girl blog”
Wow.. I can name a few problems. 1. It is run by an Arab girl. 2. It has the word rebellious in it. 3. She is totally awesome!

15. “i wana get married how long it takes to fix the papers the guy is in canada”
So the guy is importing you from back home? Bitch!

16. “the truth about arab men”
The truth is that they are mighty damn fine looking. That’s why I want one! :D

17. “how do you deal with rebellious people?”
Tell them that they are awesome, and they may change their minds about holding a rebellion against you!

18. “weird arab traditions”
Almost every other one! :D

19. “how can one be in love with some one and the other not feel the same?”
Maybe the other person has no feelings? I don’t know. It happens all the time to so many couples.

20. “what it means if a guy is always hugging you”
He is needy and you are cuddly like a fuzzy haired huge bear.

21. “how to say bitch to a girl in arabic”
Who wants to volunteer and tell this person how to say it in Arabic? Cause I don’t feel like it.

22. “how to get a job when you dont have experience”
Dude.. I can’t get a job and I have 6 years experience.

23. “why do arab girls wear too much eyeliner”
Cause we like it and we can get away with it!

24.”jobs where you dont have to deal with people”
My current job! :D

25. “i have realized that i just dont like you”
Me neither. What a coincidence!

26. “why do companies say they will keep your resume on file”
So when you apply to another position at their company, they will ignore you.

27. “what is the best way to break it off with someone”
Do what I did, create an online blog for that purpose. :)

28. “i thought the world was either black or white”
And you found out that there is a bit of grey? Didn’t you used to colour when you were little and learned that there are different gradients to each colour?

29. “what color eyes look best on arab girls?”
The common one! Brown!! Jeez.

30. ‘why do arabs gossip so much”
Because it is like a breath of fresh air to them!

Cause we like it and we can get away with it!

EXACTLY. And no Western girl friend is going to talk us out of it right!!

Speaking of best Arab eyes: If brown is best, then I claim second with green. And don’t anyone dare say green is not nice with black hair and bronze skin :)

    And girls:
Many of us are avoiding the bad name calling for females. There is enough pressure on females already. I could say I’ve grown allergic particularly to Arab men using the mean female only insults, it is just too “inflatedly” used.
So: I don’t feel like enlarging anyone’s vocabulary either. If you HAVE to know: Google Haifa if you know what I mean.

    Hey Mona,
I am a Sagi (with Pisces rising and Moon), and I don’t hate Caps!
In fact, my partner is a Cap and we seem to get along very well.
And, yes- I’m underplaying it a bit (sorry, just a bad habit I have). We have been together for 10 years now… ever since we were both teenagers and all… we get along ‘more than well’, actually.
I think you are not meeting the right kind of Sagis ;)

Haha, these are hilarious. A mini-interview with Mona. You know what would be nice though, if we could all vote on questions we want you to answer (like little things you like, etc). I don’t know if that’s pushing it and you want to be a little anonymous.

    Wow.. no comment!

Ahahahaha.. I personally think as an Arab, we are better lovers than anyone else in this world. I mean I know people are all about the latinos being good lovers in bed. But who influenced them for 800 years?? US!! Of course we’re good!! I take pride in being a good lover.

Also I quite agree about the eyeliner bit. It makes me look sexy. All arab girls look sexy with eye liner on.

    Haha thanks Charlie :)
I must say I’ve thought of getting contacts. I agree brown is sooo nice and sultry as an eye color. Like liquid honey.
The only fact that’s holding me back is Arab girls are overdoing the contacts thing, especially on the Gulf and in Lebanon, where many of my girl friends are from, and I find the trend to making one’s eyes light soooo lame that I think I’m not participating (even if I want to do the opposite color change).

true that.. Yemeni Arabs, true authentic, original Ayerabs, are nothing like lebo’s, jordanians, and syrians (the “levant” arabs), who are more or less a mixture of early societies; and in my opinion, the source of many other races which have since spread out from ancient mesopotamia to the rest of the world…

Ahmed.. Most likely you have some sort of Egyptian ancestors in your family history. Well Egyptians are the one people within the Arabian lands that are descendants from many more non Arabs than Arabs. Still they are speaking the language, and have shared Arab culture for centuries. So why would they not be Arab?
I can only feel offended by these accounts of “Levantine” Arabs not being “real Arabs”. As if the Arabian peninsula were the only true thing.
btw especially on Yemenite soil, there is pre Arab history in the form of Ancient Saba, as much as there is Phoenician history on today’s Lebanese soil, or Pharaonic history on today’s Egyptian soil.. the only “pure” Arabs then are descendants of a couple of Nomadic tribes in today’s Gulf kingdoms. And even for them, who can prove there has been no mixture? Many other peoples, Jews, Assyrians, Arameans etc populated today’s Saudi Arabia in the past 1500 years…
I get sensitive at this issue because the denunciation of other Arab peoples as “less of Arabs” carries very racist traits for me.
    No offence.

Yuva.. well Arabs are united by a language. With many dialects, granted, but still a very strong bond.
there is no such thing as one African or Indian language, there are in fact hundreds. That is why – IMO – these peoples are not as closely connected as Arabs.

Diversity is precious, and mixing of peoples and cultures happens at many points in every people’s history. Genetically, it is a very good thing right

But one has to watch carefully if diversity is valued as the good it is, and if one’s partially differing history is appreciated – or used to bring division, and feelings of supremacy of the “purer Arabs”, something I cannot stand.

Dina… Take a deep breath, step down from the pulpit, and relax. Read my message again. I make no mention of Levant Arabs being lesser Arabs(for the record, I am half Egyptian and half Palestinian). I was simply stating, that the original Arabs.. the peoples who were originally called Arabs (I’m approaching from the direction of “entomology”) came from Yemen..

but you are perfectly correct in saying that even they have descended from other races. If current evolutionary science is to be believed, we all came from Africa.

I would also like to add.. that one should not jump to conclusions about another person based on one or two messages. I do not have a race complex.. in fact.. I think the world would be better off if everyone interbred to the point where race becomes irrelevant, and then, we will have nothing to differentiate between ourselves other than our own will, strength, and individuality.

By the way, I’m half Egyptian, half Palestinian, and I do not have a race complex. I think the world should interbred to the point where race disappears.

The search phrases always bring in some interesting stuff. I always tried to keep from foul language since I didn’t wanted my visitors to find me using those. In my country there are some bloggers who got way up on their Alexa ranks and traffic stats by using all kinds of “bad” words.

Good “collection’ of things you’ve got here, it really made me laugh a bit. I needed that after a tiresome work day. Keep up the amzing job, love the blog. Clean and interesting.

Ahmed, I am sorry if you thought I was calling you a racist.
I did not jump to the conclusion you were.
What I thought you were saying simply pushed a few buttons with me as there are quite a few Arabs out there who are of doubtful supremacy ideologies (I am sure you have met some as well..)

Yes, I agree – mixing is something positive. I am mixed too :) it gives different perspectives and richer heritage.
Maybe that is why I am sensitive to the ideology of “pure blood”.

I surely did not mean to discredit you personally, but simply jumped to the thoughts evoked.
Of course, I am glad you put them into perspective, and historically you are right of course. Nothing wrong with that – and I apologize if you felt attacked by me!

I am glad you’ll say that.
Yes, having a nice debate spices up life way more than agreement on everything, right! :)
Unfortunately, I often get the impression some cultures are more “debate-hostile”, and I’d count the Arab culture, not all Arab individuals, of course, with them. Too often people will shut off every debate because you said something they found shocking or puzzling or rebellious :) (even if you just questioned something that is taken for granted or certain, not out of intention to definitely change it – but simply for checkproofing if it is necessary or even good).
