My heart stopped
This morning, about 30 minutes ago, I was having a weird dream. Then all of a sudden, I felt my entire body being pushed down and shaken. I opened my eyes, looked outside, and my heart stopped. It was cloudy, gloomy, and somewhat fuzzy. I started looking up and down, and I felt the world was spinning.
I put my hand on my chest, and prayed. I thought that the hand of God touched me and pushed me down, and I am about to DIE!
At that point, I felt my heart is about to jump out of my chest from the rapid uncontrollable heart beats.
Few seconds later, I heard shuffling noises and little talk behind me. Oh no! It is true! Judgment Day is here and everyone is saying their final prayers!
Out of curiosity, because I am Mona, I turn my head a little bit behind me, and see my brother walking around grabbing stuff. Then I suddenly feel my 2 year old niece’s hands under my pillow. She was trying to grab whatever is hers that I slept on.
I was like what the hell! Get away!
Do you guys think she jumped on me this morning and shook me? I am 99.99% sure it was her. However, I believe the world is coming to an end, and Judgment Day is here too!

Cloudy and gloomy climate is what makes me get out of bed. Simply ‘vause it makes me happy. I hate it when I wake up to sunshine.
What you experienced was probably a part of your fantasy. Haha~
@The Ruling Numerator
Sunshine is great!!
Fantasy? Maybe. I hope it was just fantasy and I was hallucinating.
I had one of those moments, where I try to wake up but i cant, and i CANNOT breathe, so i think my going to die, and in my head i just say the shahada, well it turns out in my dream im saying it. I hear its the Shaydan or Jinns who do that, specially when you wake up for fajr, but then again those are stories you hear.
lol or maybe its your little neice since that sounds like a plausible answer.
p.s I think judgement day has signs, when we see nabi issa and the mahdi, then we can panic
The poor dear was prolly just giving you a hug! And now you are all traumatized!
@Craig
Maybe. Maybe not!
HA! You probably were awaken from mid-dream or mid-REM sleep phase. It would do that to you. Freaky though wasn’t it?
I had a similar experience, the feeling of being pushed down when being half-awake. The answer to what it is, is very simple: when you are asleep, the connection between your brains and your muscles is inhibited, in order to prevent you from hurting yourself in your sleep. Sometimes, when you are half awake, you are consious, but the connection to your muscles has not yet been re-established. The feeling is of paralysis, as if someone is pushing you down, but in reality your muscles dont obey your brains. Often because you are half awake, the sensation is coloured with fantasy things like aliens (in my case) or djinnis (in the case of arabs) or whatever cultural phenomenon haunts you in your subconsious.
@Maarten
Very interesting. Thanks for clarifying some things for me. I really needed to understand it a bit more from a physiological sense.
