Jerusalem

Tell me your first reaction to this mini movie about Jerusalem, Palestine. There is no talking in it. Just music, beautiful landscape, and people.

The movie is called “La7n el 3awdah.” And if I can translate that properly, it means something like, “The Tune of Return.”

I was deeply moved near the end of this video, and I couldn’t hold a tear. That’s me! Miss emotional! :(

You can translate as: “The Returning Melody” or “The Comming-Back Melody” but away from the translation is touching and professionaly done. Thanks for sharing, Mona!

Good translations. I am elementary with Arabic.. Hehehe.. I love this video so much! So simple and well done! I hope more people see it and understand that we Palestinians are simple people who just want peace and be surrounded by our loved ones in our homeland.

I’ve never been in Palestine, I’m originally from there. This video has definitely given me an image of how is it over there, thanks! :)

I’ve always been interested in the antiquated side of the middle-east, as opposed to modernity, because of the strong family values, and the simple ways in which people can become happy.
the main character at the beginning had such hard lines about him. His eyebrows and jaunted face gave me a kind of ‘hard life’ impression. that was of course shattered when i saw his awesome smile.
Even among the ‘rubble’ flowers of happiness can still grow.
So how is it that a little orb of light emanating from the boys hand made you cry? i was like holy god this boy is a miracle worker!! jk

Every time I watch this video, I want to cover my eyes and not cry at certain scenes. :(

Glad that it was touching for those that liked it and understood the positive message behind it.

Very touching. Lest we forget, it is the passing of the right of return as symbolized by the key from one generation to the other.
