Interview: a friendly one indeed!
I was asked a few days ago for an online interview with a Canadian blog network called: Canada Blog Friends. It is always nice to be recognized by the place that I live in. Oh Canada!!! Mwaaah!!
I thought the post written about me was so cute and true, that I had to share it with everyone. I love it when people thoroughly go through my site and try to understand my personality, and come up with intriguing analysis. This is my favorite part:

Mona is the living manifestation of her rebellious blog; she’s a strong female personality in the Arab world, and that’s rare. Although core values are slowly changing, Middle Eastern culture still seems to discourage female participation; Mona’s blog is rebellious, because it exists.
Love it!!
What do you think?

It’s so true. Many Arab females I’ve met have had such a difficult time of representing themselves openly, and your voice is a heavenly sound in a world choked with the smoke of conservative fear for someone special like you. It’s no surprise that the majority of the haters on your site are Arab males who have a hard time coping with the fact that one of ‘theirs’ is a rebellious type. I find it so refreshing that you rebel against certain things that others believe in, and yet stick to your principals which do nothing but gain ground and strength.
Your blog reinforces a sense of femininity that has always been part of the Arab world, but is finally being portrayed in the safest possible medium. You are blessed with a true individual identity and I give *nothing but respect* to your vicinity.

@Brian
Wow… I am speechless Brian. Thanks for that analysis of me. I appreciate it with all my heart.
Well done. Mona you are the shining star that has triumphed in the Middle East and beyond. You should be very proud. You’ve kicked primitive Arab ass and you have expressed views of values and modern talent in a civilised, professional manner. You make all the Arabs in the West proud and we all love you regardless of what the stupid Arab guys have to say about you. You are wonderful and free-spirited. We love you & all Palestinians… you are a role model to all Arab youth.
Keep it up. Make Arabs & Palestinians all proud!!! Palestine forever!!! Mona is great
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE ALL LOVE YOU!
Mona woot woot!
@ Brian I could not have said it better.
I will never understand why the majority of Arab males and arab society considers any female who has a brain, speaks out for herself and is educated “rebellious”. Oh wait, because we intimidate them and they have low self esteem.
Very accurate description of the unwaivering rebellious woman. Keep shocking us. Kudos
Ah, fame and fortune are only a hairs breadth away
ur da best dont know why most female population is stuck up in there homes and doing nothing constructive for the countries totally unlike you u must be and outcast in Arab:) if it were from Pakistan im sure some mula would have put a Fatwa on ur blog …just kiddin
and keep up the good work
It was a real pleasure to research and write about you Mona, perhaps because your blog has colour, and not just skin tone. You were on my radar for a long time as there can be no doubt you’re one of Canada’s best personal bloggers, and certainly unique in your niche. Write on girl.
Quitye an in-depth profile! I havn’t been a reader for that long but it seems to me they got your blog just about right! Gratz on the recognition, Mona
@Incandescent Chimera
AWwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! BIG HUGSS!!!
@Dena B
Exactly!! Every guy I ever met couldn’t stand me speaking out or show a bit of brains! It lowers their self esteem. No wonder 40 year old Arab men want to marry 18 year old Arab girls.
@Oussama
** Taking out the electric wires ** Shock shock!
@Sheece Gardezi
It’s sad being me!
I am the outcast Arab..
@Rob Campbell
Thanks for interviewing me!! It was fun!
@Craig
Thank you!! Yah.. very specific and well researched, good job on their part eh?
I wandered over from Canada Blog Friends … nice to meet you
