Sending a request to Hallmark

By: Mona
.......................

Tomorrow is Eid El-Adha! Yaaay! So Eid Mubarak to all my Muslim broz and sistas! Keep it real to the big guy up there!

Also, Happy Thanksgiving to my biggest website watchers and lovely peeps, the Americanos!

Finally, happy international Rebellious Arab Girl Day. In reality, it should be every day, but I don’t want to seem too greedy here. I am gonna call up Hallmark so they can consider it, and add it to their never ending list of celebrations that they have.

Oh, for those that are wondering what Rebellious Arab Girl Day is going to be about, then I will make it plain and simple:

Rebellious Arab Girl Day,

The day of honesty,

The day of truth,

The day when you go up to that shit head person that has been pissing off, and tell them that they are wrong and they suck!

Isn’t that a lovely celebration? :D

    After reading your post I went to wikipedia about Eid Al Adha. It’s amazing to know more about your customs and culture.

    Happy Eid al-Adha! :-)

    Eid Mubarak!!!

    If we’re considering an official Rebellious Arab Girl holiday, can we also encourage gift giving during this wonderful time?

    Maybe you can deliver them down a chimney, Mona? After all, it seems like you’ve been keeping tabs on whose been naughty and nice based upon your last post. While you’re assembling your list, jot me down for 4 wives, a new car, and a ton of computer games.

    Happy Eid everyone. TBH as a convert Eid sucks for me; no one to do anything with and the born muslims are too busy with their families to care about you. :( I hope u guys all have a better day than me.

    Eid Mubarak to you and your family too habibti. Also Happy Eid to every muslim reading this.

    @Mahsa

    Aw, please don’t feel sad, may allah make the rest of your eid’s full with people to celebrate it with. Why don’t you find out if there’s a group of converts that do something together every Eid. I know there are a couple convert centres up in Toronto. And please don’t say that we don’t care about you, that hurts you know. I definatly care even though I don’t know you. I usually have fun with my friends on eid, I’m hardly with my Family. Find muslims who have fun with friends on eid, then you wont feel bad. You have approx 1 year of searching and planning Inshallah. I wish you the best of luck :up: :cool:

    @ Jasmine – aww you warmed my heart. Im in London, UK. The thing is I work really long hours and most communities here are for house wife women.

    Can u believe I havent found a convert who works in my kind of industy or my hours so they find it wierd when u cant attend 10am coffee on wednesday, or u can do things on weekend coz its the only time you have to study prefessional exams or wash your clothes.

    It sucks but I just hope with time I’ll find more like minded people; and plus I can move out of home (parents) and get a life LOL.

    Bless you xxx

    Oh and i forgot to mention – Londoner are miserable sods so its hard to make friends here – easier to smack someone on the commute lol.

    I once tried to talk to a sister in the street and she looked at me like i was loony!!

    For every Holiday there is a sad face,
    Every time theres a family time someone is left out,
    When someone sells a smile, a rose loses a petal.
    If every day was Rebellious Arab Grrl day then the sad faces would always be cynical and ironic.
    The families that are rebellious would never be left out.
    And when al-ajmal smiles, a rose blooms in the fields.
    Eid Mubarak.

    I could sell that for millions. :pirate:

    I am all for the rebellious arab girl day? Does it also involve slapping people who are really annoying or just plain perverts??

    @Mahsa

    Thanks! I create lyrical blasphemy and poeticism that could annihilate any hypocrisy.

    I want to slap people who complain about politics, and whine about how things could be better if some other guy who talks too much was in ‘power’. Don’t let mumbo jumbo get to your whatchamacallit. Geez….crazy snickerdoodles thinking they own the whole bit of dust that we happen to inhabit.
