Skits from life

By: Mona
.......................

Google Buzz

I am blind as a bat during the day.

My mother agrees 110%!

I agree 220%!

If you come up close and examine my body, I have unknown scars and bruises. Some I don’t even know how I got them. Other times, I have no idea what scratched me and is making me bleed. I just find blood on my hands from hitting something I didn’t feel or remember hitting. I have a strong feeling that my sensory receptive signals are getting hijacked from a devious source!

Truthfully, I am pretty clumsy, or my mind just wonders off in another world. I tend to focus too much on one thing, (curse of being a programmer), and ignore my surroundings. I don’t know why, but I seem to always walk anywhere in the house and end up hitting something. That something is usually a door, because I don’t pay attention to where I am walking to. Doh!

My mother happens to be at the scene of my clumsiness and always says,

In English: “Damn that stupid door! Why the hell did it not see you?”

In Arabic: “El 3ama be 2albo la hal bab! Leesh ma shafek?”

Mona’s interpretation: “Daaaaaamn!!! that door, it loves to bump into me and say “hello!” *wink wink*

A doorless house? Would’t that make it a big unstructured space, like a business office employee desks area?

Ohh….thats quite interesting !!! Me too !!! you know, i always have the habit of forgetting things. I always forget where i put keys. I always forget where i kept the mobile / watch. Always wondering in a different world. This is because, you are a programmer, you always think about programming may be. The bloody computer seems to occupying you. Be careful.
For me, I am staying alone in Cairo, so my loneliness is eating me.

All in all nice blog. I must say your English is damn good, if you are a resident of Egypt.

See, the thing about doors is they see the mysterious worlds beyond them and get jealous that you can go explore while they’re stuck in one place. They bang you to get revenge :D

I hate my coffee table, I wander across the living room not paying attention and then *bam* it takes my shins out. Evil furniture makes me sad, I’m totally going to live in a bouncy castle with beanbag furniture as an adult for health and safety reasons.

I am Canadian living all the way on the other side of the world. Why did you assume I am resident of Egypt? Or Arabs don’t exist anywhere other than the Arab world?

I did not mean that. I just asked because I am living in the egypt and i know the standard of English in the Egypt. In fact i will be happy if women are empowered in Arab countries.

@Nithya I like the way you look at doors. They’re not just something to bang into.

@Mona I’m surprised that you don’t remember getting hurt as often as you do. Are there any interesting scars that you do remember getting. I always find that there are some interesting stories behind scars (I know I have a lot). Perhaps you can post on some of the more interesting ones.
