Talk to me live this weekend
This is an announcement post regarding an upcoming event.
I will be on live to chat with people via webcam this Sunday, December 6th, 2009. If you are asking why I am doing this, then don’t. Like think about it, duh! I got a blog and I want new and more fun ways to interact with everyone.
I will have one hour chat sessions at the following times:
So empty your day planners that day, and come and say hi to me!!
Afternoon:
14:00 EST or 19:00 GMT
Evening:
20:30 EST or 01:30 GMT
Those times are not set on stone. I will have a reminder post on Sunday morning EST to confirm the times that I will be online, and I will place a streaming video on the sidebar of my site too.

Prepare some questions to ask me. I won’t have a microphone, so no voice because the stupid microphone does not work on my stupid Windows Vista. It won’t detect it. So if any of you harddware gurus know why, then tell me by this Sunday. So maybe I can have some voice going with this live webcast!

I got Vista. I am in the middle, and I don’t feel like upgrading. That’s not a solution to my mic problem, but a scapegoat from solving the problem!

So far, I got 24 confirmed guests on Facebook event page. That’s pretty good. The room will hold 50, but only at one time. I am assuming people will come at either or time, or both times. Not sure.

Mona, my mic is spotty now too and I use XP. Used to work fine until I built a new computer a year and a half ago. I’m using the audio that built onto the motherboard and it’s really crap. I’ve had a lot of audio related software bugs and the mic is hit or miss. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I’m seriously considering putting my old Sound Blaster “Audigy” back in even though it’s an obsolete sound board, at least it worked! lol
So anyway I guess I’m saying it may not be an operating system issue. It isn’t, in my case.
So we can watch you while you type then!? I may show up just for that!

Yep, I will be on live via webcam and chat. I wanted the voice to work and maybe I will talk and say hi to people. Unfortunately, the mic is not being detected. I think for me it is the Vista new upgrade that I did. Hmm..

But Ill prepare a question for you anyway. We’ve already discussed arab women and : musalsalat, gossiping, money, men, relationships, marriage, politics, palestine, plastic surgery. hmm. Maybe if you get a mic you can talk to me in youre palestinian accent.

Hahaa.. I don’t skype.. and my Palestinian accent is not really a true one. I speak half Lebanese half Palestinian. The reason for that is 1) My parents were born and raised in Lebanon. 2) I speak like them. 3) I wasn’t raised around Arabs that speak Palestinian at all. I lived many years with no Arabs around. Therefore my accent is half half. And I like it that way khayta!!
I don’t know exactly what you want to ask about Sharia Law, but I will try to answer, or someone else who is more knowledgeable in the chat room might be able to answer you as well.

I was going to be cheeky and say “Get a Mac” but I don’t want to open up the floodgates since I am forced to use a PC at work.
I may not be able to attend, but best of luck with it. I hope you do it again.
