Even though you may not like what others have to say, you at least know that there are differences in opinion and interpretation to what you say. What I find more annoying is when you think that you wrote something and you never know how people interpret what you say because you don't listen to what they have to say. Your sharp tongue and hard mind is something these 'religious' folks want a piece of, and although their religion might say they are steering you on the right path, all they seem to do is despise what is wise, and to me their puritanical streak is bright like a fluorescent light bulb, annoyingly bright and gives one a headache every time its on.
