Why why why??
By: Mona
.......................
I paid lots of money for the first course for my professional certification. Now, I have to pay lots of money for two books. A course with two required books? Now you know that there is going to be serious no time for 12 weeks! Where is the justice!!? No wonder less and less people wanting higher education. They can’t afford it!
I am stuck! I need books! Argh!! I am settling for Amazon books, and try to get them at least 50% off but used. I am still a week early, but I need that long or even more for shipping!
The injustice! Words! Why do I need to pay that much for words!
Edumacation costs lots of money, but the results are pure amazing!
Don’t you agree?

I am giving up on this! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. too expensive!
its really crazy how its soo expencive every boby is out 4 money lol p.s dont give up i can give u the money
@Charlie Hayse
it’s ok.. I got money, but I just didn’t want to waste it on over-priced books!
haha ok just trying 2 help
lol
Mona… I just saw the other entry. I apologize if I said something wrong. Did not check back earlier. Seriously, I apologize from the heart if I said something offensive without realizing it would be taken as such.
@books: Can’t you get them at uni libraries? I hardly ever bought the hyper expensive books. Also sometimes there were discounts in particular stores with the proof one is a student of the subject.
Also there are many online portals, “fleamarkets” so to speak in North America selling used uni books. I have not used these portals much since they either do not ship overseas, or charge ridiculous amounts for shipping.
Don’t know if that can help at all
Look on the bright side, one day you might be teaching the subject, then the publishers give you the books free of charge.
@Dina
It wasn’t just you. There were a lot more people, but one person called me the typical Arab girl for doing it. That’s when I decided to just remove it. It was an insult!
Oh well, at least I got it off my chest for a while. End of story.
@Meyrick
Nah.. I have no plans to ever get my PhD or lecture. Not my thing.
@Mona
You say that now, but just you wait. Remember, I told you, you were doomed, just like me
“typical Arab girl for doing it” ayyy.. whoever knows you should know better than saying that
Lol. Mona at university I just take books out for the whole semester, instead of paying 60 pounds for a book I pay the 10 pound library fine when I return them. Not fair, yet efficient! PS I cant believe someone called you a typical arab, I have never heard you talk about MUSALSALAT MASRIYA, LEBNANIYA, SOORIYA!, (alzawag, alfilooosss, alsha2a comes to mind!).
There is no easy way to say this, so I’ll just go ahead and spill the beans for you. I’ve been reading your blog for quite a while now. Speaking of education, you claim that you are educated and “too intelligent” for your own good. What kind of fool complements themselves in such a manner? /Too/ intelligent? Seriously? You can’t even write a post without one or two grammatically inappropriate sentences. “No wonder less and less people wanting higher education.” You mean: No wonder less people ARE wanting education. The answer is probably: because it’s not really helping.
It seems that, on this blog, all you do is complain about Arabs when you’re not doing anything yourself to be different… or, at least, “teach” these Arabs how to be oh-so-great like you, my magnificent Lady. You act exactly like the typical Arab girl you condemn, except you got a blog and your English is somewhat readable. Why don’t we see you doing something different rather than just complain all the time?
I see on your blog many posts about how that you’re lonely; how that no guy is up to your standards; how that you wouldn’t marry an Arab guy; how that you’re getting older and older. If you’re so obsessed with marriage (totally not a typical Arab girl) then why don’t you just go ahead and do it? It’s funny because, at first, you probably refused to marry when you were younger because you’re just not the typical Arab girl, and all the guys are just not good enough for you… Then you find out you’re lonely and sad and, on top of that, nobody wants you… not even a bloody matching website. Oh, the irony… I love it.
I’ve read your 2010 resolution. First of all, it’s considered extremely shitty writing to list the questions at the top and the answers at the bottom. I’d have to scroll up every fucking time just to read the question and then down for the answer. But that’s not my problem. “Majority of people are selfish pieces of shit that forget everything that had any meaning, and forget that you ever existed.” What kind of resolution is that which puts calling people “this and that” on the top of the list, way before changing oneself? Oh, of course, it’s a really bad one. Who do you think you are to go ahead and call ALL people selfish pieces of shit? You should change yourself before you condemn all people like that. By the way, you don’t just say “Majority of people;” you say “A [or the] majority of people…” Your English’s really shitty.
Mona: Maybe it’s time for you to get off your high horse, stop complaining about everything, actually do something about it, and, maybe, go marry a typical Arab guy. ‘Cause that’s what you are: a typical Arab girl. Even if you found the “right” guy, you’d probably be shit to him. No guy wants an arrogant, hypocritical girl with an attitude and a bunch of double standards. I’m sorry to throw it in your face like that, but I felt it just had to be done. You can delete this comment and pretend you never saw it, but it won’t help ease the burn you will feel inside knowing it’s all true.
“The worst culture to change is the Arab culture. It is so hard to convince them to change, but even harder to tell them they are wrong. If you are an Arab and reading this, then you are wrong. There, I did it, and I will say it every day if I have to.” These are your words, Mona, my dear, from your blog. No one could’ve said it better.
I think education costs a lot, but yeah I agree with you, further education overall is a good investment. And you will recover the costs eventually, especially if you have some goal in mind for the education to go towards.
@The Truth
Oh dear, Flaming about someone’s English!
@The Truth
It sounds like you have too much time on your hands if you complain this way.
Hi the truth! Since you have so much wisdom about Arab girls, I need some advice on NON Arab girls. There are some jealous, extreme 7asad giving, no self identity, cant keep their legs closed for five minutes, females stalking me, emailing/messaging me etc. Offcourse this is the type of situation that ARISES ONLY when you elevate HUMAN beings to god like status. Looking forward to youre advice xx
I am serious The Truth, you just mentioned all the negative qualities of Arab women. With non Arab women, the main problem is that if they see something I wear/do/say, they will copy it without thinking, because they think I am attractive, or intelligent, and this will make them the same, without thinking about the intentions behind my actions, and thinking about their own life (and god) and the path they should follow. Looking forward to youre advice, since you have no qualms about giving it. x
@Mais
Hon.. don’t bother. This person is having a personal feud with me. It has nothing to do with Arabs. It is just the excuse.
No Mona I would love to see what he has to say since he has no problems whatsoever giving advice,
A) Marriage – Yes Non arab women also talk about marriage, and relationships, and boyfriends, and flings, and one night stands…….you get my point.
B) Spelling and grammar – Yes The truth, can you please tell native english speakers to improve their English?
C) No guy wants an arrogant, hypocritical girl with an attitude and a bunch of double standards – Took the words right out of my mouth, describes many females I meet.
xxx
Grammatical correction: “No wonder fewer people …” People are countable, so you can’t use ‘less’.
